I don’t know about you, but I’m beyond tired of this snow. Even before it started, I was already over it. Last week, DC received over a foot of snow in the latest snowstorm. Having grown up in North Carolina, I cannot recall a time in my life where I’ve seen this much snow on the ground. It needs to hurry up and melt! I’m ready for spring already.

The pictures above were taken on Georgia Ave NW as I was walking towards the intersection of Georgia Ave & Butternut St NW to catch the #79 bus.

Last night, I met up with a few friends at @HierarchyDC - a new exhibition venue located in Adam’s Morgan. Artist Cory Oberndorfer & DECOY had their art featured in this new space. It’s was pretty cool! This was my second time at Hierarchy; I have a previous post from last month detailing my first time here. Anyway, I’m always up to going to events like this…I actually found out about it the day before! That’s usually how people hear of things…sort of last minute. While I was here, I met a woman who was randomly giving out coasters she ordered online…how awesomely random to receive this from her. It pretty much sums up my post grad life.

What a typical night on the #70 bus. I saw a stranger's butt crack and my bus breaks down on the corner Kennedy St & Georgia Ave. This is becoming the norm, unfortunately.

I promise you, there is never a dull moment on the bus. Usually when I’m not too busy rolling my eyes at fellow passengers, I try to keep to myself and people watch. I frequent the #70 & #79 bus routes leaving my house in Takoma Park to head downtown. The middle picture was taken on the circulator, but the first and third were taken on the #70.

Last night, President Obama gave his fifth State of the Union address. This is the first time I’m listening to the address in DC! I met up with some friends I’ve made at Shaw’s Tavern (Florida Ave & 6th ave NW) and we drank and made comments during. I had a great time! It’s weird to think this speech, watched by millions across the country was delivered only a few miles away from me.

This past Friday, I was invited to @worncreative's open bar networking event, located at #Hierarchy - a new bar to open soon in #AdamsMorgan. I had a great time! Great to meet/network with people in the #DC community.
