A-NOPE at the Drive-In || Duncan&Kaley
Kaleyâs small hand traveling along his thigh would have rendered Duncan speechless if he wasnât already struggling with words. He thought she may have glanced at his lips, but it was too dark to tell for certain. âUhâŠâ he muttered. His fingers had stopped dancing along her skin, hovering above her hip as he continued scrounging around for words. It wasnât working. He was feeling stupider by the second. Fingers thoughtfully tapping against Kaleyâs bare hip, Duncan finally leaned in and kissed her once; a firm, fleeting peck on her throat. It certainly didnât help him to relax (did the exact opposite, in fact), but he pretended that it did, his shoulders drooping as he fidgeted briefly before seemingly turning his attention back to the movie.
He leaned in and instinctively, Kaley closed her eyes, awaiting the contact. It never came -- at least not to where she thought. Blinking, she turned back to the movie, her hands now folded in her lap. Kaley cleared her throat after a fleeting moment of quiet between them. âI thought you were going to kiss me.â She said, her voice barely above a whisper and she didnât look at him, so instead she focused on the screen, only sneaking a glance after sheâd spoken -- whatever she had missed in the plot didnât seem all that important.
