Genuine question : how do you feel about Hiyoko??

I mean, you don't stop her from making fun of Mikan sometimes, so I find it hard to sympathise with whatever she has going on :(

Hiyoko just needs time and patience.. Her trauma made her.. How do I put this... It gave her aggressive boundaries.. She builds walls because she doesnt wanna be hurt again.. I know Hiyoko can be cruel and we're working on changing that.. But it takes time.

You dont have to sympathize or forgive Hiyoko. But.. I hope you can understand atleast a little better where it all came from..

She has a good heart.. And once you get to know her better, you'd know she's alot kinder than you'd think.

If I wanna propel myself in to stardom, I totally need some good cover photos, right? And like, you're the best of the best! With your kick-ass photography skills capturing my style and charisma on film, there's no way I won't shoot to the top of the charts! (I just need to write some songs first..)

First of all, it’s “please.” If you’re asking someone for their time and skills, the least you can do is show some basic respect.

Second, I don’t take photos just so someone can boost their ego. Photography is about capturing something real, not flashy poses and empty confidence.

And third, no, I don’t do commissions like that. Especially not album covers for self-proclaimed hotshots who haven’t even written the music yet.

If you actually cared about the craft instead of hyping yourself up, then maybe we could talk. Until then, try learning some manners first.

Well alright, I'll take the "no" and I'll own up to forgetting to say please, but sorry Mahiru, I've gotta push back against you thinking that all of this is cuz I'm shallow. I'm serious about this! As a matter of fact, I've never been more serious about anything in my life!

Sure, maybe it looks like boasting to YOU... But think about it! There are lots of other Ultimates who have gone to Hope's Peak who have had to work hard to get where they are, right? Look at Sayaka, for example! Did you know how hard she had to work to become an idol?

And she's lucky. She was successful! She became the Ultimate Pop Sensation just by working real hard for it and building up that dream with her friends! As for me... Man, I don't even care about being the Ultimate Punk Rocker or anything. I just wanna do what I'm passionate about and be taken seriously about it for once. Maybe a cover photo will help me get there, maybe not!

I don't need to be the best, I just wanna actually like what it is that I do.

I'm not lucky like you are. The thing I'm good at isn't even something I enjoy doing, no less for an entire living.

I'd do anything to change that outcome! I refuse to stay pinned down by the path that was set out for me! What, because I can throw and hit balls real good I gotta do that for the rest of my life 'til my body gives out in my mid-30s?? I don't think so! I didn't choose that lifestyle!

So... Yeah. Sorry I asked, I won't make you help me if you don't want to. But I don't want you thinking that I don't give a damn or that I'm just ego-tripping.

I'll show you just how serious I am. When I whip up my first EP, you'll be the first to know about it!! Will you listen to it then so you can see what I mean, please?

Wanting to escape a path you didn’t choose isn’t shallow. And yeah, I get that being good at something you don’t love can feel like a cage. You’re not wrong for wanting out of that.

But I meant what I said before. If I do this, it’s not about hype, fame, or “shooting to the top.” I won’t stage fake confidence or flashy nonsense. If I take your photo, it’s because you earned it, by actually putting the work in.

So here’s the deal. You write the songs. You record the EP. You commit to it even when it’s frustrating. When you’ve got something real to show me, I’ll listen.

And if I hear that passion you’re talking about?

…Then I’ll do the shoot. Not as a commission. As a collaboration.

Went swimming with some of my classmates! We had tons of fun and caught loads of fish! Mikan did join us but she disappeared halfway through. She was probably a bit overwhelmed and decided to go home early.. Would've appreciated it if she had told us though...
