Whenever I hear ppl mentioning how all those victims went to hell for being gay, I wonder if they realize that in a Biblical setting human morality is not synonymous with godly righteousness, and thus we all fall short of the glory of God and can only be saved by being justified and sanctified in accepting Jesus’ sacrificial death and resurrection, repenting of our sins and keeping the commandments henceforth.

Living for God is literally the hardest thing a human can do b/c when you consider all the rules it is a constant denial of our own natural nature and will to worship God with our whole being forever and forever. That’s not something any of us do naturally, it has to become your nature of you believe that is the will of your Creator and that the Bible is your instruction manual for how to serve Him. It’s the whole reason more and more ppl take more of a new aged approach to spirituality where there are no universal rights and wrongs, only that we harm no one else in our attempts to love and live unapologetically, b/c that’s more in line with our own natural nature and codes of morality.

Why, Biblically, the whole point of Jesus’ death was to bridge the gap between us and God the Father b/c He can’t abide in by sinful nature, evidenced by when Jesus called out “Why have you forsakened me?!”, the first time He truly felt the full weight of not being connected to His Father b/c He represented all of mankind’s sin throughout time and God couldn’t look upon Him in that state. It’s literally the whole point of the Bible, and the only thing that could provide salvation was the sinless life, death, and resurrection and ascension of His Son

So to act like gay ppl are destined to hell while you as a straight sinner somehow has it better off biblically makes no sense. Jesus died for the sins of the entire human race, and none of us can in our own right earn a spot of Heaven b/c we’d be dragging the weight of our sinful natures thru the heavenly gates with us. You don’t know anybody else’s relationship with God and how He’s working on their heart, and the Bible states there’ll be a lot of ppl you thought would never make it to Heaven but did, and a lot you would’ve bet money would be there but won’t be

Christians need to stop acting like every gay or transgendered pression who dies or is killed is some kinda modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah divine slaying, and realize there’s a good chance God would call many of us as Pharisees vipers and hypocrites for thinking our iniquities are somehow so much smaller and so much more forgivable, that many of us would be the same ones saying “We healed the sick and raised the dead in your name. We’re your best of the best” and he’ll say “Depart from me, I know you not”
