the ultimate guide to being a hottie at school⋆.ೃ࿔*:・📔🎀
if your finding it difficult to maintain ur dolly-ness because school seems a bit overwhelming rn, then you've come to the right place! who says u have to sacrifice ur academic performance for the sake of looking good? we can have both beauty AND brains so lets talk about low maintenance ways to look high maintenance at school…💬🎀
THE NIGHT BEFORE ;
doing things the night before saves you LOADS of time in the morning. and one thing that i do the night before school to ensure that i look AMAZING are an overnight heatless blowout with socks. the key though is to make sure that it doesn't put too much strain on ur scalp so don't make it TOO tight.
we don't wanna start balding. we want bouncy healthy curls and this is the easiest way to save time in the morning and have that effortlessly put together look while you're at school.
another thing, plan out your OUTFITS the day before or before the schoolweek starts. we want to save as much time as possible and just have that "what am i gonna wear" thing to worry about, out of our minds.
ALWAYS HAVE LIPGLOSS ;
having things with you AT school to freshen up are super important. always have some perfume in ur bag. i don't recommend bringing one of your fav expensive ones, just buy one from victorias secret cuz they're price range friendly and smell really nice and keep it on you to freshen up throughout the day.
bring ur lip combo so that you can reapply it, a hairbrush if you need to brush ur hair, pads or tampons, deododorant etc. anything that you need to make sure you feel fresh bring it with you. and use it when you can, like after lunch or when you have a break.
IF YOU'RE RUNNING LATE ;
if you're running late and there's ONE thing that has to be done before going to school and ur struggling between either makeup or hair, 10 times out of 10 im choosing hair. having your hair done instantly makes you look put together no matter what.
try to keep your school makeup easy and sustainable for you to do every single day. my school makeup routine is my skin tint, a bit of blush and mascara and lip balm. if im gonna have a longer day maybe i'll use some concealer but i don't like to keep it TOO heavy.
THE HOTTIE MINDSET ;
being a hottie though is all about your mindset. being confident and charismatic to me is being a hottie. being in LOVE with yourself is being a hottie. uplifting others and making THEM feel good about themselves is being a hottie. so if you need some easy ways to be a hottie, here are a few.
give someone a compliment if you notice something u admire about them (don't keep it to yourself!)
when you're looking in the mirror tell yourself how pretty you are
yes girrrlll you have an amazing life!! you've got the prettiest kindest funniest girl friends, you're smart and educated academically AND you're emotionally intelligent and one of the coolest people ever!!! plus you are SOO gorgeous and confident and literally amazing <3 you are well read and have so many interesting hobbies and you never give up and you're such a pleasure to be around ♡ love u!!
✧ girlblogging saved my life | tribute to girlbloggers of tumblr
💌 a love letter to the girls who feel everything all at once
hi angel. mindy here.
i just want to talk to you for a second. not as a persona, not as a brand, not even as a blog, but as a girl who started typing into a blank text box one day and never stopped.
because the truth is, i didn’t make this blog because i was healed.
i made it because i was hurting.
and somewhere between the aesthetic pinterest photos, the late-night diary entries, the posts that only got 3 notes, the 2am reblogs of girls who looked like soft versions of my pain... i found something.
i found you.
✿
i didn’t know i was creating a life raft when i made this blog.
but looking back, i can see it so clearly now: i was a girl who needed a safe place to feel everything. to be too much, too emotional, too ambitious, too dreamy.
irl, i felt like i was being graded for everything, my appearance, my intelligence, my tone of voice, even the way i sat in a chair. everything had to be curated and clean and perfect.
but on here?
on tumblr?
i could fall apart in lowercase.
i could write things like “i feel like a forgotten ballerina in a dusty theater” and no one would ask me if i was okay.
they’d just reblog it with “me too.”
and somehow, that felt more healing than any conversation i’d ever had.
✿
girlblogging didn’t just save my life.
it gave me one.
a life where i could romanticize my flashcards, where healing could look like claw clips and classical music and drinking water in a wine glass.
a life where i could turn loneliness into poetry and ambition into art.
a life where i wasn’t just surviving... i was curating, creating, soft-launching a girl i had always dreamed of being.
i started girlblogging when i didn’t have the words for what i was feeling.
but now i know, it was grief. it was burnout. it was self-abandonment.
and slowly, one pink post-it thought at a time, i started writing my way back to myself.
✿
when people ask what girlblogging even is, i just smile.
because it’s not something you can explain in one sentence.
it’s something you feel.
it’s the way you post blurry photos of your eyeliner because it makes you feel powerful.
it’s the way you build entire personalities out of fictional girls like spencer hastings, wonyoung, cher horowitz, and elle woods.
it’s the way you turn your trauma into templates and your survival into routines.
it’s how we whisper “you’re not alone” to each other through digital scraps of diaries, gifs, playlists, and checklists titled ✧ how to feel like yourself again.
girlblogging is archiving your girlhood in real-time.
and i think that’s the most radical thing we’ve ever done.
✿
i’ve met girls here who are quiet geniuses. girls who write like moonlight. girls who study like the world is ending. girls who’ve taught me how to rest, how to flirt with life again, how to turn breakdowns into soft resets. girls who made me feel seen in a way real life never did.
and the best part?
they’re just like me.
just like you.
we’re all here, in this glittery corner of the internet, building worlds from our bedrooms, lighting candles for each other, sending each other healing in the form of moodboards and poetry and routines.
this is a community of unspoken survival.
we never say it directly.
we just post something beautiful and hope someone else recognizes the ache behind it.
and we do.
every time.
✿
so this is my love letter.
to you.
to the girlbloggers.
to the dreamers who stayed up late to make a new aesthetic header even though they had homework.
to the girls who reblogged posts about self-worth while silently trying to believe them.
to the ones who took notes like it was an artform.
to the ones who healed in lowercase and sparkles.
to the ones who are still learning how to love themselves in soft, sustainable ways.
you saved me.
girlblogging saved me.
you taught me how to live again.
and i just want to say...
whatever you’re going through, you’re not weird for needing this space.
you’re not cringey for making everything an aesthetic.
you’re not “too much” for feeling everything at once.
you’re just a girl in the middle of becoming.
and that’s a sacred thing.
never let the world convince you that softness isn’t powerful.
it is.
it always has been.
✿
so keep posting your little poems and guides.
keep updating your theme at 1am.
keep reblogging things that feel like you.
because maybe girlblogging isn’t about being seen.
maybe it’s about seeing yourself for the first time in forever.
and maybe that’s enough.
tributed to all the girlblogging community on tumblr + these amazing creators/girlbloggers:

stooooop omg you’re gonna make me cry fr 😭💘 the way you just said that??? like that’s exactly what i hoped someone would feel when reading it. knowing it resonated with you like that… it means everything to me. being a girl on tumblr is something so specific, so soul-deep, and honestly? it deserves to be romanticized.
i swear the girlblogger community is like a collection of hearts stitched together with ribbons and quotes. we’re all just here romanticizing our lives, loving pretty fonts, overthinking everything, and healing through aesthetics 🧸🫶

– mindy 🌷✨
omgg i'm gladd 💕💕😭 this genuinely made my whole day. your words feel like the exact kind of comfort i come to tumblr for. it’s so rare to find people who just get it—that quiet, shared understanding of what it means to be a girl here. it’s soft, it’s safe, and it feels like home.
i meant every word of what i said. your post felt like someone reached into my chest and put all those tangled feelings into something beautiful. it really is like we’re all stitched together through the little things—quotes, photos, late-night thoughts—and somehow it makes everything feel a little less lonely. 🩷🩷
thank you for putting that feeling into words. for reminding us that we’re not alone. ahh yess, this post is absolutely a love letter now!!
sending a quiet little hug and the feeling of your favorite sweater right out of the dryer 🤍

soft morning rituals for a girl who's tired, but trying
-> some days, getting out of bed feels like a huge task. but there's something so beautiful about waking up with intention, even when all you want to do is hit snooze for the 5th time. these rituals aren't about perfection, they’re about gently easing into your day with a little grace, even if it’s slow!
RITUAL #1 water before worries
pour yourself a glass of water in your favorite mug or cup. add a slice of lemon or cucumber for a fresh touch — it’s small, but it feels like a little act of care. morning water rehydrates, boosts metabolism, and flushes toxins. adding lemon or cucumber gives extra benefits like vitamin C, digestion support, and skin hydration!!
RITUAL #2 stretch gently or have a moment of stillness
before reaching for your phone, spend a minute stretching your arms above your head or just breathing deeply. a simple stretch opens up your body and clears your mind. you don't need a full yoga session — just a small stretch to remind your body it’s awake! ever since I started doing this, I’ve been 10x more productive during the day. before you reach for your phone, reach for yourself.
RITUAL #3 a cleanse for your soul & skin
wash your face with a calming cleanser — take a few moments to really feel the water on your skin. follow up with a soothing moisturizer to lock in hydration. it doesn’t have to be long, just enough to feel fresh and rejuvenated.
RITUAL #4 listen to a calming playlist (or podcast)
put on a calming playlist (I love listening to calm r&b for a soothing start to my day). If you need something a little more structured, try a short podcast that brings peace or inspiration.
RITUAL #5 create a cozy moment with a warm drink
make yourself a cup of herbal tea, coffee, or matcha — something warm and comforting that makes you feel pampered. take a few moments to savor it and breathe deeply. i personally drink green tea and omg let me tell you, bloating; nowhere to be seen.
RITUAL #6 nesting for later
making your bed might seem like a small thing, but it sets a peaceful tone for the rest of the day. smooth out the blankets, fluff the pillows, and step back to appreciate the calm space you’ve created. i feel like a room could be messy but if the bed is made, it looks way cleaner.
-> you don’t have to do everything perfectly. just choose one or two rituals to make your mornings a little softer, even when you’re feeling tired. It’s about small acts of kindness to yourself. you're trying, and that’s more than enough ♡
BACK AGAIN!!! 😝 ENHYPEN AT COACHELLA ABSOLUTELYYY DEVOUREDDD WTHHH

Let's not only be insanely beautiful but also disgustingly educated. Other than discipline and hard work, your knowledge is your weapon in this world of chaos, something that you can sharpen and use.
Where can you expand your knowledge? What areas, what topics
How can you expand your knowledge? In different circumstances and preferences such as if you're too busy or if you have a short attention span
Where can you expand your knowledge?
I DO NOT mean that you need to be an expert at everything. You don't need multiple degrees for each type of intelligence. However, if you want to sharpen your weapon, sharpen your knowledge.
These are the areas where you CAN sharpen your knowledge AND the areas where you SHOULD know the basics in:
Emotional, Communication, Morals, Ethics. Be human, and make others feel human too. Cultivate empathy, understand mental health, build your conscience, and differentiate right from wrong. Communicate frequently and effectively.
History, Culture, Politics. The world is chaotic — learn to stand your ground. Understand history, politics, corruption, culture, and the overlooked heroes. Know what shaped the past to navigate the future.
Digital Literacy. The internet is a double-edged sword. Learn to navigate it safely, protect your privacy, spot misinformation, and adapt to evolving technology.
Manners, Etiquette, Body Language. The way you present yourself matters. Respect others, read unspoken cues, and master the art of presence.
Self-Sufficiency, Life Skills, Livelihood. You won’t always have someone to rely on. Cook, clean, manage time, handle money, and adapt to life’s challenges. Be independent.
Literature, Language, Writing. Words are power. Read, write, and communicate with depth. Language shapes history, culture, and thought—use it wisely.
Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving. The world isn’t black and white. Question everything, analyze critically, recognize manipulation, and think for yourself. Don't be swayed easily by others.
Science and Math. The foundation of everything. At least know the basics, enough to understand the forces shaping the world — logic, numbers, and the universe itself.
Self-Care, Hygiene, Fitness, Health. Your body and mind are your greatest assets. Eat well, stay active, manage stress, and prioritize your well-being before it’s too late.
How can you expand your knowledge?
When you have free time
When you're busy
When you prefer learning visually
When you have little to no attention span
You are what you consume. Now that you know what topics you can expand your knowledge on, these are what you can use / do to consume those information:
Have some free time? Do / use these
Read books, take online courses, or watch in-depth documentaries. (Example: history books, finance courses, science explainers)
Engage in discussions or debates to refine your thinking. (Example: politics, ethics, critical thinking)
Try hands-on learning like experiments, DIY projects, or journaling. (Example: cooking, coding, writing)
Attend workshops, seminars, or community events.
Too busy? Do / use these
Listen to podcasts or audiobooks while traveling, doing tasks / work / school work, or doing chores. (Example: podcasts on Spotify / Tiktok, Youtube videos where the creator is more on speaking, audiobooks on Audible or by downloading a free e-pub format e-book online then uploading it into Google Playbooks and using the audiobook / text-to-speech format)
Follow bite-sized content on social media. (Example: short educational / history Tiktok videos, digital literacy infographics, photos on Pinterest)
Take advantage of apps and tools for productivity, learning, etc. (Example: budgeting apps, language-learning apps)
Watch short, informative videos during breaks. (Example: TED-Ed, Ted Talks, short Tiktok videos)
Like to learn visually / by watching? Do / use these
Watch video explainers, documentaries, or animated infographics.
Use apps that gamify learning. (Example: Duolingo for language, Codecademy for coding)
Follow visually engaging content creators. (Example: finance charts, body language breakdowns)
Make mind maps or illustrated notes to break down complex topics. (Example: self-care routines, political structures, problem-solving techniques)
Little to no attention span? Do / use these
Learn through short-form content like TikToks, reels, or infographics.
Play interactive or gamified learning apps. (Example: strategy games, trivia quizzes)
Follow meme-based or storytelling-style education accounts.
Try hands-on, fast-paced activities. (Example: debate flash rounds, real-world problem-solving challenges, DIY experiments)
Begin small, learn the basics, take a step at a time, and start from there. Be BOTH beauty and brains. You have a weapon (your knowledge), sharpen it and use it.
