Apologies..

So I most definitely lied in my last post here about coming back and working on things again. I think.. I’ve just lost my muse and interest in rp at the moment. This might change later down the line, but as of right now (or really as I’ve been doing till now oops), I’m probably going to take an indefinite hiatus/vacay from rping.

I want to deeply apologize to everyone I owed a thread/reply to and it was really rude of me to leave you guys hanging for so long. Thanks for interacting with me and making my rp experience so fun. I hope you guys are doing well with whatever you’re up to nowadays c’:

//okay, so I’m back from my week hiatus for finals. I was also trying to participate in kenhina week, but I didn’t even have time for that, except maybe the free day tomorrow, but we’ll see. 

So I’m starting to work on drafts now and I’ll finish those up tomorrow. Sorry for the wait, I definitely haven’t forgotten them, I’m just really bad at procrastinating and putting things off.

[Cori jumped as the bell rang, dismissing the students of Iwatobi high school to lunch. She hadn’t been paying attention to the class, drawing in her notebook instead. As a new student, she didn’t have anyone to eat lunch with and planned to eat the rice and beans she had packed for lunch herself (along with some corn chips she had managed to sneak past her mother that morning) in the classroom. Unless by some miracle someone invited her to eat with them, but she wasn’t counting on that. She was pretty weird to the other kids, with her accent and curls and hyper personality]

A sigh was heard from the brunet as he raised his arms in a light stretch, glad that it was finally lunchtime. Glancing at the clock on the wall, Makoto judged he had plenty of time to trek to the swim club’s usual meeting spot to eat. He started clearing off his desk and putting his books into his bag before lastly pulling the green, wrapped bento box out. His mom had fried a pork chop for his lunch today and he couldn’t wait to dig into it later. 

He made his way down the rows of desks to exit from the back doors, when something caught his eye. Stopping, he looked back down at the row he’d just walked through and sure enough most of the desks were empty, the students having gone to eat with their friends elsewhere. Except the one around the middle. If he remembered correctly, it was the female transfer student. 

Mako couldn’t seem to remember her name and he felt a slight pang of guilt for not having remembered something as important as that. He did remember that sensei had introduced her as a transfer student from somewhere in Europe perhaps. 

The girl seemed to be alone there and from the looks of it, she had brought her own lunch. He watched her a few seconds more, about to be on his way, when he suddenly found himself standing right beside her desk. 

“Umm, excuse me? Ah, I’m sorry, I seem to have forgotten your name,” he started nervously, “Um, but I saw that you didn’t have anyone to eat with, so I wanted to ask if you’d like to come eat with my friends and I?” He put on his friendliest smile and hoped she didn’t think him strange for appearing so suddenly. Realizing he hadn’t introduced himself he added, “Oh, I’m Makoto by the way. Makoto Tachibana.”

//okay, so maybe I’ve been avoiding doing drafts for the past couple days, oops. I’ll get on those eventually. This week is finals week for me so I might be a bit busy with that. After Thursday, though, I’m a free chicken.

“Stir fry? Now you’re really making me hungry, Makoto,” Miharu chuckles at her own folly, before she quiets down and only nods slightly. The brunette nuzzles her head even more against his chest, just like their kitten does. What’s she to do when she’s got an amazing husband whose arms are so warm? “That sounds great, really. Do you want something funny, or romantic?”

“Right? I’m getting hungry myself just thinking about it.” He grins at her. A hand reaches up to stroke her hair absentmindedly, pausing occasionally to twirl strands around his fingers. “And Why not both? A romantic comedy.”

Color-Coded Starter Call!

Blue for an angsty starter

Everything is blurry. Small and big splotches of color and form running together. The sight is odd; when had his vision become this bad? 

The next second everything becomes too painfully, clear and sharp as the tears fall out of his eyes. There on the road before him lie a small, white lump. Even in its disheveled shape, Makoto could pick out that white fur and pointed ears anywhere. Except now, those same features are nothing but unfamiliar. The pure color of white is stained with muck and a dark crimson peaks out from underneath. It’s face is turned away from the two onlookers, who had been walking by, but there is no doubt about it.

It is Makoto’s small friend, the white cat. 

A hand goes up to cover his mouth as he takes a sharp, intake of breath, more tears welling up, but he can’t seem to notice them as he absorbs in the scene.

It’s unfortunate that many people tend to label Free! as just a purely fanservice anime because it’s more than that. Free! is about friendship, youth, camaraderie, and sometimes even hardships. Just because this anime comes in a very fine looking package does not mean it lacks substance by any means. See you next summer indeed!

“Haru, you know it was already past it’s expiration date..” he speaks in a subdued tone, careful not to upset the other more than he obviously already was. It still amazed him how much of a staple food mackerel was in this guy’s diet. If he could, and of course he would, Haru would just about eat mackerel for every single meal. Just mackerel. “And you know that we’re kind of on a budget for the next few days, at least until my paycheck comes in.”

“Sounds like we have an agreed plan then. You pick what you want us to have dinner then I’ll do the ordering, okay?” She now shifts a little, so that she’s lying on her back while he cuddles her and that she’s facing him more. “We’ll even watch whatever you want to watch. I don’t have anything in mind, really.”

He takes a moment to think about their options, softly humming in thought. “Hmm, how about stir-fry? I think that one shop with the really tasty stir-fried noodles delivers.” He relaxes his arms as she changes positions then readjusts them around her. “And as for a movie, nothing really comes to mind right now. Maybe we can just find something that looks good?”
