Iâm reblogging this again because I want to add that images like this are literally 100% the only reason I feel better about my body. Because when Iâm having a shitty body image day, I look in the mirror and I remember that there are people who think bodies like mine are beautiful and lovely and sexy and I give myself permission to love myself even though my body is rarely reflected in mainstream media.
Rebloggin on here cause this is hella important
this is hella important.
First day. Arriving to Toronto. Ok so I pay five bucks more than I should for my ride because I didn't have change, I really think that sometimes people take advantage of me but whatever the important part is that we're in Toronto now! Bad part: there is nothing to do today because the tour starts tomorrow and our hotel is far away from civilization. I have to be honest I do not like one of the girls that is here. She is annoying but I'll have to suck it up for the next 6 days in order to have a great time.
Experiencing college life (for real)
Ok so I'm starting my second week at Peterborough... on the weekend I didn't went to the art gallery because I didn't feel like it. My roommates hace arrived and the apartment is compete now. I really like this girls they are fun. They are all from Canada which is great because I didn't want to share room with someone that was also from Mexico because what's the fun in that??? On Monday (yesterday: labor day) we went to a party downstairs and it was cool because it was and opportunity to get to know my roomies a little bit more. A guy called us cuties he was waaaaaasted but he was hilarious. Today was orientation day at school and it disappointed me to be honest. I received my welcome package (because I'm an international student) with a lot of stuff that I already have :( but whatever. The really bad part of the day was the rain. It was pouring rain and all the activities were supposed to happen outside... you can imagine how it all went. I won't get into details I'll just say that I ate a burger with wet bread. Whatever... I drank two shots with my roomies of something called breeze or something, not my favorite drink but it didn't taste bad It was rather good. A girl came to invite us to a party at another building maybe I'll go I'm still not sure. Oh I remember now... One of my roommates was smoking weed in her bedroom and the entire hall smelled like weed. Anyway that's it for today.
First days at Canada
Ok, so this week I move to Peterborough, ON, Canada
I arrived on Monday to Toronto at 5am! I had to wait for my transport which was scheduled at 8am but that actually arrived at 8.30. I fell asleep on the shuttle 'cuz let's face it the road was extremely boring I haven't been able to sleep in the last 2 days.Â
I was in my residence at mid-morning or something, I check in I came to my room and I cried for a little while and then I decided to give a tour around the residence and it turns out that there are not many things to see nearby, there's a lot of green areas and a houses and that's it. The day was extremely hot, I bought some groceries and I drank a coffee at Tim Hortons.Â
On Tuesday I walked to the univesity, again lots of green areas everywhere, I asked for directions to a guy and he was really nice and I walked with him to the main entrance where I got my school ID, and for my surprise the lady at the registrar's office pronounced my name pretty good. After my visit I decided that I wanted to explore so I took a bus downtown and did I did there?? Well nothing interesting... just a terrible headache jajaja JK.... well I mean I did get headache but I also met the Conferation Square (Important location #1). I got back home, I ate a subway and fell asleep way to early because I couldn't handle the headache anymore.
Wednesday was a great day! I dediced that I shouldn't step outside at noon jajaja and I took a bus to Walmart where (I got lost a little bit) I bought supplies and food and where I decided that I should probably acquire a meal plan at the University because buying pans, kitchen supplies and food is too much work, and also my class schedule is kindda random...
On thursday I walked to school and then I decided to walk a little further.. BAD IDEA. I actually chose the wrong shoes to walk I my feet suffer the consequences. Inspite of that it was a nice walk jejeje.
Friday. I walked to shool, I met my advisor, I got familiar with the school website and decided that this weekend (saturday and/or sunday) I was going to visit the Art Gallery of Peterborough and also I'm going to Landsdowne Place to get a phone plan ;) that's it for this week.
Jajaja that's funny
