Long post about Wynonna Earp (I have a lot of feelings about it, ok?)

I love Wynonna with all my heart. She and Waverly are my favs and I've been rooting for her since the beginning. Melanie has this ability to make me feel her pain (and not many actresses/actors can do that) so when her heart is breaking, my heart is breaking.

Wynonna went to hell and she has every right to feel pain, to be depressed. What she does not have is the monopoly of said pain.

Yes, she is the cursed one, but she's not the only one afflicted by that curse. Waverly was right beside her all this time. She lost her family too, she was the one who was left behind and had to deal with everything on her own, whether she wanted or not. She found out she was an angel and she couldn't really rely on her sister to understand what that meant because Wynonna was too focus on her own pain. It's not fair that tried to make her feel guilty for being happy!

I don't know if Jolene was real or just a manifestation of Waverly's fears and anger. But everything she said was right. Whether she did it on purpose or not, all the people Wynonna sacrificed to save Waverly are on her as well and that's not fair. Waverly wouldn't be ok with risking Doc and Jeremy's life to save herself. That's not who she is. That's why I love Dark Waverly sl. The show has the chance to finally address her pain and fears too.

The same goes for Doc. He's been a victim of the curse as well. Hell, he got it worse than anyone. Despite everything, he wears his love for Wynonna on his sleeves, still the nicest thing she ever said to him was that she liked him because he was bad as she was. I totally think that she loves him very deeply and that she's just bad at expressing it, but it sucks nonetnevertheless.

I do think that this impossibility to actually acknowledge their pain is the reason Waverly and Doc's relationship became so important to both of them. They rely on each other, they're there for each other, they love each other so genuinely because they recognize their own pain in the other. There's no condition to their love. It's not disfunctional. It's real and good. It's not a surprise to me that Doc is the only one to know about the book and that they have a secret place to meet (their friendship is so precious to me).

All of this to say that the show should have addressed other people's issues and not just Wynonna's (this is about Nicole and Jeremy too)! And that I hope that by the end of this season they will all get their happy ending ('hope' is the key word here, because I have trust issues right now).
