“If you want to. If you were trying to get his attention, it worked. Do what you want to. I can order the drinks while you do if you want,” Peter said. It felt good to try to help Aria. It was a nice change from not caring. He just hoped that he wasn’t caring too much. He didn’t want her to be annoyed that he was sticking his nose in her business, where it didn’t belong.
Aria rolled her eyes and took another step forward in line. It wouldn’t matter if she did or didn’t go hit on that guy, Peter was just going to play the big brother role and help her with whatever she was doing. Although it did help to hear that he’d been paying attention to who she had been going out with. “Fine, I’ll do it,” she spoke abruptly, raising her brows at Peter before maneuvering her way through to the man at the table. “Hey there,” she murmured in a tones low and sultry. The man looked up at her with a grin as she leaned her palms on the edges of the tables, giving him a free show of her chest. “What’s your name?” Ari asked, cocking her head slightly. She chatted him up for a little while, arching her back slightly as she leaned forward, thinking she was giving a little bit of a show for Peter. She wished she knew what he was thinking, so she could tell if it was worth it at all to be talking with the slightly bearded hipster. Aria complimented the guy’s hair, and even ventured to smooth it behind his ear, finger tracing his jaw down to the tip of his chin, and in the end, they had made a date to go out on Friday, and she’d given him her phone number. The brunette turned, shoving her hands in her jacket pocket, and walked smugly back over to Peter. “That was easy,” she grinned up at the boy.
