A few days ago around 4 A.M., we woke up to hear what we thought was some strange sounding bird, and went outside to investigate. After listening, we realized that it was not a bird, but actually a kitten who had gone hoarse from crying for so long.
For the next few days, we were trying to lure this kitten out from a neighbors yard through their chain link fence (making sure it wasn't hers, we asked her permission to try and catch him). We couldn’t go into the yard because it was locked off. Under the shed, there was just a tiny kitten, too small to even be off milk, crying out. We sat outside the fence and held our hands out for hours whenever we would hear him cry, waiting for him to get close. Eventually, we were able to lure him over with canned tuna, and catch him with a bucket we attached to a broom, then hoist him over the fence. This is why we named him Tuna!
Once we caught him, we realized he was severely underweight, and took him to the vet the next morning. He was diagnosed with tape worms, heart worms, ear mites, and has burnt paw pads from standing on the hot concrete. He also needs to be tested for feline leukemia, and given fluids for his unusually high fever.
To get the proper care for all his vaccinations and treatments, it would cost a little under 300 dollars. Anything to help pay for him would be so helpful!! We feel so accomplished and happy we were able to save him, and it would make us so happy to see him recover. Thank you so much, please consider donating or sharing for Tuna! ❤️✨🐱
PLEASE REBLOG if you can't donate! thank you!!
