Extending public control of data produced by cities and communities could potentially drive the creation of new viable business models supporting the development of local networks and economies.
"Antenna" is a design exploration of speculative hacking as a mean to open up sensitive infrastructures such as mobile cell towers and reveal their content for participation and creativity without causing disruption. Data from the antenna's use and active and passive production of mobile apps are revealed as a way to trigger a dialogue and speculate about possibilities and issues behind this technological opportunity.

Making it work don't seems to be a big issue... I guess with the time engineers will figure it all out. Understanding what forms this systems should take and how they should be managed to avoid privacy and control issues, proliferations of services and drones are. It looks like also Google, after Amazon and DHL, is interested in entering this market. How log will it takes before they will privatise the sky?

Participatory Hacking of Logistic Services - part 5:
"Fieldwork Staging & Rehearsing possible future solutions"
The last part of this work has been in the field. We traveled in the countryside around Botsmark with a van, stopping home by home. The postbox and the drone have been used to stage and rehearse the our service, triggering the curiosity of the locals. Our goal was to involve them in a reflection about logistic infrastructures and a conversation abut our drone delivery system and how they would appropriate it, exposing issues and possibilities.
Most of the community members here are retired people who see in the network a way to become more independent. They would be willing to share together something like that and they easily found possible use of it. At the same time some the younger inhabitants saw the drone network as an opportunity for work and as a way to support local business e.g. organic food, local manufacture and so on offering the means to remain here as an alternative to the city. Beside exploring needs and functionalities of what this system can possibly do for them or possible service product design issues, people started to tell stories about the area. What emerged is the story of a land that lost connectivity to the city with the rising of industrialisation and globalisation.

"We used to have a shop here but then we had to close it cause there was no market anymore when people left the area to get closer to the city for jobs. Now I am here totally dependent form my family and neighbohrs for almost anything. It would be nice to have something to bring me small things such as milk newspapers or medicines"

"40 years ago the area around Floda had milk production as a main source of sustainment together with the selling of local products and vegetables. Farmers where producing milk in small quantities that was then collected and sold in cities and at the local dairy industry. Because of that business also the area was really well connected 3 busses a day were bringing people and goods and the area had schools and young inhabitants" Said one of the interviewed.

"if the technology is in place, weather proof and at a reasonable price I would consider share something like this with the others. Last time I received with **** in Tavelesjo I ask if it was possible to send the package to Botsmark. To do that, they shipped the package back to Stockholm. I received my parcel a week after for 20 Km distance”.

"In winter many trucks end up off road due to the bad road and weather conditions, sometime also loosing the cargo, this system might improve the safety"
"This postbox wouldn't fit my home. I have a dog he would probably be scared or running behind it to chase it. Maybe it's good if everybody could built it's own box following some basic instructions and receiving the basic technology that makes it work. Someone could then come and certify it"
