@smotheringrancid
The way he walks in this scene is VERY important to me and I think about it a lot
Bullying others must be his love language…
A moment to appreciate Kevin’s concerns for the Ed boys (How wholesome)
“What’s this, Eddy?”
Eddy turned to see his mother holding out a very familiar piece of paper—his body instantly going stiff.
“‘You electrify me’?” she read aloud with a huge, toothy grin. “Is this a Valentine’s Day card, Eddy?”
Eddy shot up from the living room couch and snatched the paper from her hands. “Mom! You can’t just go digging through my stuff!”
“Ohhh, my little boy’s got a crush!” she squealed, pinching his cheeks like she was trying to rip ‘em off. “Who’s the lucky girl, huh? Is she from the neighborhood? Is it that Nazz girl with the hair? You always stammer around her!”
Before Eddy could stop her, she snatched the card back, inspecting it closely for a name.
Eddy flailed around his mother. “It’s nobody! Gimme that!”
But she held it high above her head. “Hold your horses—lemme just see if they signed it…” Her eyes scanned the bottom. “Eddward?” She blinked. “You mean Double D? That lanky little brainiac from across the street? He gave this to you?”
Her eyes shifted to her son. He was much pinker, gripping the hem of his shirt, sweating so much it looked like he could fill a gallon jug.
“Y-yeah—b-but it’s not like that!” he stammered. “He’s just a friend, alright? Friends give each other stuff all the time! Cards, gum, whatever!” With one final jump, Eddy managed to snag the card back and bolted to his room.
His mother stood there, watching him disappear up the stairs. A second later, Eddy’s dad poked his head into the room. “What with all the ruckus?”
She looked over her shoulder with a sly smile. “I think our little Eddy’s got an admirer.” She said in a singing tone.
He raised an eyebrow, but she just hummed to herself and sauntered off toward the kitchen, hips swaying in rhythm with the cheesy TV music playing in the background.
Miscommunicated Ed
(✿ ✿ ✿)
Eddy has been going through the course of puberty and has been struck with teen acne. He hides his face everywhere he goes to avoid any on lookers. Edd has taken notice and has offered words of encouragement. Sadly… didn’t work out. So to help his short pink fellow he has taken it upon himself to also wear a bag wherever he goes. (The thought of his best friend covering his face for his sake made Eddy all flustered.)
*A noise alerting Edd and Eddy awake*
Edd: “What was that?”
Eddy: “I don’t know.. go check it out.”
Edd: “Me?!”
Eddy: “Well, your the man!”
Edd: “We’re both men, Eddy!”
Eddy: “Well your the top!”
Edd: “…”
Edd sighs then proceeds to get out of bed to check downstairs only to find a sleeping walking Ed and his late night eating habits…
Eddy: “we got fake married for a scam but jokes on them! We’re still married five years later!”
Edd: *sighing while showing off the wedding ring*
Not to be a bother but are there any hopes of seeing you draw the Kankers?
I’ve been wanting to draw them for a long time, so I finally did✍
Eddy: “You guys trust me, right?”
Edd: “Absolutely not.”
Ed: “With my life!”
Eddy: “If we set the candy store on fire, we could say it was an accident.”
Edd: “That’s… not even a scam, Eddy! That’s arson!”
Eddy: “Arson is just a very extreme way of advertising,” lights match “lighten up!”
Edd: “Eddy, your idea is… ill-advised.”
Eddy: “You didn’t say no.”
Edd: “I’m saying ‘no’ in italics..”
