Synopsis for the fic as a whole: After decades of ruling the Alliance, Lazamel has stepped down to allow his oldest son, Dregamel, to lead. At first, things go great.

But in the year 1850, they have two sons. The oldest, Gourmelin, is different from his family in many ways and as he gets older, he crosses path with a certain trio of brothers that will pave the way for certain events.

This is the story that answers all the questions: How did Haughty, Bold and Shy fall into the Evil Wizards' hands? How did Dregamel die? Why isn't Gargamel part of the Council despite being the oldest?

And most importantly...what led to that battle that changed everything for the brothers?

In my opinion, I think the Lost Village and live-action films are the best.

Haven't watched the 1961 series or the Magic Flute though.

I sort of like the comics, 1981 cartoon and 2021 cartoon.
