"P" and PoopyCat is ofc a spinoff of Bee and PuppyCat that i came up with one day. so, the story behind this is that p is short for priscilla and her family nicknames her p (which her hair is a very interesting shade of yellow that can be related to something else). p's family has a pure white cat that when going into labor, they thought the kitten was...a piece of poop since they were so small. so, they named the cat PoopyCat. thus, "P" and PoopyCat was born!
pixel art noob tries to build in minecraft
for my second youtube video, i wanted to build an accurate furnace next to my chest that i'm still working on. it's based off of Stampy's chest he made in the quest series.
First YouTube Vid!!
so, i decided to start posting on youtube. the first one is just me mining in minecraft. check it out if you like :)
i almost can't remember how you look.
dreams of every piece of trash littered on the streets.
Minecraft
i have played Minecraft since i was 10. watching Minecraft videos since i was 8. by no means have i known about Minecraft since the beginning, but i have seen the change.
growing up makes me feel sad for this reason. i see things change and reminisce on what once was. never wanting to go back per se, but acknowledging the simplicity of that time.
i've seen the shift in Minecraft Youtubers. starting out watching Stampy made me want to be creative and build my own Fun Land. have a house so big that you could get lost in it. go to the moon. Stampy made kids and anyone alike play Minecraft just for the sake of it.
i then watched iHasCupquake. she opened up a world of mods and immersing yourself in a story only you can create. she also played with one of the most interesting mods called More Creeps and Weirdos which i still enjoy today.
i found LDShadowlady soon after and fell in love. her gameplays were so casual and fun at the same time, showing you don't need to play any game so seriously.
getting more into mods, i found DanTDM. i loved watching his mod reviews and discovering mods that i could play with that wouldn't put viruses on my mom's computer.
i soon entered middle school and was still playing Minecraft. making my own modpacks and struggling to install shaderpacks to play just like cupquake and LDShadowlady.
i saw the shift. version 1.12 came out. i remember watching a video of all the new things added to this version and didn't know how to feel. they added new blocks which i hated. it's one of the things that always stood out to me and i still throw those blocks away after mining.
Minecraft was still okay. these updates from 1.7.10 were not extreme. then the deeper caves update came out.
by this time, i was playing Minecraft less and less due to high school and ultimately entering college. with other updates, it was easy to leave and come back. after this update, not so much. different mobs, new rules of where you could find certain ores, new crafting recipes, etc.
it was now overwhelming to play the game I loved so dearly. i could easily study up and always have a guide open, but that's not fun.
i once was an expert. knowing every little thing possible even the commands to knowing nothing. biome names became foreign and i had more questions typed into Google than i ever had.
i became a hater of modern Minecraft just as non-gamers were bullies to others who played this game when i was a kid.
beginning to play in older versions made me happy. i was having more fun this way. it was never about memorizing every crafting recipe or every new biome or anything like that. it was about the freedom and creativity with less things to do.
i feel this was a big reason as to why players were so creative at this time as well. they had to use blocks they would never think to use to make what they wanted.
this became why old Minecraft had always been more appealing to me. even when 1.6.4 and 1.7.10 were out, i would watch cupquake's old series in beta. i wanted to experience how it felt to play like many did before me. how they had fun with less than i had. it was fun.
i started to notice something. YouTube shifted. Minecraft YouTubers shifted. it was no longer about making series and having 100 episodes using a modpack and making it yours. it became about hardcore Minecraft. "doing [insert impressive thing here] in 100 days."
it was becoming exhausting to see everyone trying to do the next big thing. to get a million views on a video. to go viral. i was starting to hate how Minecraft was being treated.
i could only rely on my favorite YouTubers for content. if they were even making videos or even Minecraft for that matter. it was sad seeing YouTubers go and finding less and less people who were recording videos for the love of Minecraft. People who actually are making videos for them instead of what will get them the most views.
i began rewatching old series, which i always did, but they stayed on repeat. there were no new videos to come to. for the most part at least.
that was until i found one YouTuber named LuvstarKei. they check every box for what i've been looking for. they play for the fun of it not trying to go viral.
LDShadowlady and iHasCupquake have also returned to Minecraft recently so that has been great to see.
in conclusion of this long-winded post about how Minecraft and YouTubers have changed, i was heavily inspired by a video i saw today by Klei_Wright.
the video is titled: "Minecraft punishes causal players. I made a datapack to fix it." it resonated with me deeply as it's a similar thing that i've complained about for years.
i would recommend watching the video as it is a very interesting take on Minecraft regardless of how you feel.
[NOTE: i have a similar thing that maybe i would make a post about. i recently started playing the original Animal Crossing on the GameCube and have similar sentiments in comparison to New Horizons.]

February Favs
okay, so i haven't posted in.....5 months? yeah life is crazy. anyways, time for february song favs and i'm hoping to try to do it every month.
SONGS ON REPEAT
-drive safe (by myles smith & niall horan) -the hand (by annabelle dinda) -wishful dreaming (by 5sos) -start over (by 5sos) -kxrma (by last dinosaurs)
so drive safe and kxrma feel so much like summer songs and it's soooo refreshing!!!! and ofc anything with niall horan is amazing. i'm a niall stan since i haven't mentioned and i'm so excited to hear singles coming up soon (hopefully). but back to the actual point. the first time i heard drive safe it just felt like that song you hear at the end of a coming-of-age movie. kxrma just sounds like a song you'd listen to on the way to the beach with the windows down and i'm so here for it. 5sos just has me in a chokehold with their new album which lowkey isn't that new anymore but these two songs just get me. wishful dreaming is just so catchy and an overall vibe. basically i'm ready to star in my own summer movie with these songs in particular.
NEW SONGS
-ricochet (by aidan bissett) -alley rose (by conan gray) -back 2 u (byy nct 127)
so real talk, these aren't really new in my playlist, but since my last post it's new? yeah, that's my excuse. i also have known about the nct 127 song (i also am not a kpop fan so idk) bc in like 2021 i used to listen to this one mashup video that had nct x one direction songs. i also knew about alley rose and other conan gray songs but never listened listened if you get that.
also here is my february playlist if you wanna hear more but i lowkey have been listening to the same songs and need to build a new playlist from the ground up.
but yeah that's all i've got and hopefully you'll see me next month to talk about music again lmao. okay, bye.

SINJIN DROWNING
SINJIN DROWNING is a youtube channel that i think i've watched for 5 or 6 years now? i'm not exactly sure but i started watching them when they were in their original house with their mom.
BACKSTORY
okay! so let me give some info since i'm sure 99% of anyone reading this doesn't know who sinjin drowning is and then i'll get into my favorite vids and such.
sinjin drowning is a duo of siblings named WESTON KOURY and KALYNN KOURY. the name sinjin drowning came from none other than the show VICTORIOUS. there's an episode where the character sinjin drowns in a small kiddie pool and i guess that's what they decided to name their channel after.
(they also have two cats named beck and jade who are also two of the main characters on the show.)
LORE
to get into some lore which i lowkey either blocked out or just didn't realize it was him. weston was kinda famous in the 2015/16 era with musical.ly and all of that (musical.ly is what tik tok is now). he was a part of DIGITOUR which to my knowledge is what CAMERON DALLAS created after MAGCON was basically dissolved.
to get into some newer(ish) lore that i actually was present for is that they are/were friends with EMMA CHAMBERLAIN. they went to TANACON together and this was made into a video. I distinctly remember this video because i was an avid fan of emma and really enjoyed the two siblings. i thought weston was hilarious but for some reason never looked into finding their socials or their channel for some reason.
DISCOVERY
now that that's out of the way, i can now get into how i discovered them and highlight some vids that are their funniest (in my opinion ofc).
so, the first video i saw of them was THE VICTORIOUS WII GAME IS PERFECT. i saw it i think days or weeks after they posted it and i was hooked after that. so hooked i actually saw the game at a second hand store and bought it to play for myself.
their humor and references are just so niche and somehow align with my own humor that honestly is hard to find on youtube. especially for gaming channels. they also are around my age and grew up watching a lot of the same things i did.
FAVORITE VIDEOS
-random playthroughs
besides the victorious game they played, they have done a bunch of one off playthroughs that i'll list below as my favorites. there's literally so many that there's probably other ones i'm forgetting.
WE TRY ONLINE DATING WE TRY GETTING INTO THE VITRUAL TIKTOK CLUB FACADE WE PLAY 1-STAR STEAM GAMES HANNAH MONTANA THE GAME MADE US LOSE IT WE BECAME CAVE BOYS
-minecraft
they done lots of minecraft vids and series so i think a lot of these will be listed as playlists if i can find them.
MODDED MINECRAFT FIRST SERIES (? i think it's their first) BED WARS SKYBLOCK
-roblox
this, i guess, is a lil controversial these days as they play A LOT of roblox and a lot of people are annoyed/stopped watching bc of this. i personally don't watch most of their roblox vids if i see their tdi (total drama island) or some type of social media one. their old ones are really funny though i do have to say.
WE PLAY ROBLOX MURDER MINE HE IS ALWAYS WATCHING ROBLOX DOORS WE CRASHED A MOVIE FILMING HANDS UP I'M A BARB (paris effing mention) COOK BURGER SIMULATOR IS INSANE MARY FROM WORK RUNS A RESTAURANT
fun fact: kalynn's 'mary from work' monologue she did in a tdi vid actually went semi viral on tik tok and they made merch out of it.
special mention for all of the usernames weston has made for the roblox because there are honestly so many.
-horror games
okay there are literally so many listed, i wasn't planning on listing this many but they're all so funny but honestly just look through their horror games playlist and all of them are hilarious.
NIGHT SHIFT AT THE WATTERSON'S FIVE NIGHT AT JR'S IS TERRIFYING (there's also a part 2) THE SCARIEST GAME WE HAVE EVER PLAYED...(WARNING) (pt.2 as well) KALYNN KOURY FOUND FOOTAGE ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ¤£ðŸ¤£CLASSROOMS HORROR GAME (3 parts) SINISTER SQUIDWARD WE PLAY BUCKSHOT ROULETTE FEARS TO FATHOM WOODBURY GETAWAY FEARS TO FATHOM IRONBARK LOOKOUT WE FINALLY BEAT GRANNY MICHAEL JACKSON CHASES US PLAYING SPRITE CRANBERRY HORROR GAME (special, special mention for this. it's honestly one of my fav.) SCARY BIGFOOT GAME
-animal crossing summer!!!
so during the dark times of the pandemic, the koury sisters went to their lake house in north carolina and basically played animal crossing for a month. it was honestly so refreshing and nice to watch during that terrible time in history. they even streamed it on twitch but i'm kinda sad they weren't saved.
the playlist
-irl vids
they kinda have two type of irl videos tbh. one is classic coffee cam where they get coffee talk about it and maybe go shopping. the other one is more of a vlog type style. they also made travel type vlogs and baking vids when thet lived in their old house.
MUKBANGS COFFEE CAM COOKING
FINAL THOUGHTS
sinjin drowning is probably my favorite youtube channel that ive come across and it is a shame they’re not more popular. tbh tho i don’t think i’d want them to be more mainstream just bc they kinda have since ppl posted compilations of their funny moments or clips and regulars have found them and thought they were weird and stuff. or what i was talking about earlier where ppl complain about them ALWAYS playing roblox but they post sooo often that i feel there’s no issue and even if i’m hesitant about watching the vid bc it’s roblox i turn it on and it’s so funny. i honestly think they have the best humor and are overall really great people. maybe since i made this looong post, you’ll check them out.
(i legit spent HOURS on this post, compiling all the links and stuff)
okay, bye

MUSIC OBSESSED
man, there are so many songs i literally can't stop listening to lately, but i am also unfortunately in a ~music drought~. i keep listening to the same songs over and over and can't find a lot of new music. recs are welcomed below if you catch my vibe.
-FIRST A WORD FROM OUR SPONSORS-
music all stemmed from one great man who decided to be creative and be a little different. this man is none other than SCOTT JOPLIN! he is the king of ragtime and the most amazing composer who had ever lived. he played piano by the way so if you've ever heard the entertainer, you've heard the amazing syncopation of SCOTT JOPLIN. syncopation is basically the displacement of beats so if you hear something that's steady and even, syncopation would be one that adds another random beat into the mix.
-END SPONSOR-
SONGS ON REPEAT
-fashion (by michael clifford (aka punk rock man from 5SOS)) -enough (by the man the myth the legend michael clifford) -combust(by lauv) -in my room(by julia wolf) -molly malone(sang by the dubliners) i blame my music class for this))
to expand on this a little, i really like michael clifford's solo album sidequest so much! there's like one skip in that entire album if that if we're honest (which is extremely rare for me). his vibe for the album is def nostalgia-y2k-scenepunk and i'm here for it as i'm literally on tumblr to live out those dreams even if i can't be cool like that. i also feel like in my room def fits that aesthetic as well but honestly haven't listened to julia wolf's other songs so idk if that's her vibe or if it was just this song.
NEW SONGS FOR SEPTEMBER
-apesh*t (by jett blyton) -rosemary rain (by dash) -pretty boy (by dash) yeah it's pretty embarrassing that my new songs were all discovered through tik tok BUT they're both small artists!! so check them out if you want. as of right now, dash has 524 monthly listeners and yeah i'm one of them now <3 and jett blyton has 43k so um def not small? nvm but there you go those are the songs i'm currently blasting that made the highlights. here is the spotify link if you wanna look further but yeah that's it, bye
