Wild Kratts intro but after the reprogrammed au
As a queer Hispanic person, it drove me completely crazy when people were acting like queer head-canons were “disrespectful” back when Encanto came out.
The argument that it was taking something away from Hispanic representation was just completely crazy, and honestly a very homophobic and racist sentiment, because it implies A. Being queer devalues your identity as anything else, B. Hispanic people are all straight, C. You can only head-canon things with white characters.
Hispanic people have a million problems, but we don’t need to be coddled by social justice warriors online. It’s great to defend minorities and fight for them, but not before you’ve even spoken to them.
Go ahead my darling white people, make the Madrigal family queer if you like, and while you’re at it, stop putting words into minority’s mouths if you actually care about their voice.
