"Mhm, very fair." Bucky uttered sarcastically but he still grinned anyway, it was nice to see Sam so at ease and dancing around. "I'm doing laundry now so hand me what you want or you're going to get wet clothes back when you want them." He threatened half-heartedly. They could relax now and it was worth it. "Come on doll, go sit down and i'll get you a drink, you can relax and enjoy your damned victory."

"Super fair." He mocked back and smiled. Taking a break from the dancing he shrugged taking his own top to match the fact that Bucky had none on either. He smirked and smiled, handing him the top, walking to their bedroom, grabbing some of his laundry and passing it to Bucky he chuckled again. "I mean, I have no top on though, can you not get distracted if we celebrate?" He sat on the couch though, relaxing.

"It has never been funny, nor will it ever be funny, if someone devalues the time that we had with Steve. He made his choice, we are honoring that, and moving on with our lives to the future. I love you."

"I love you too Sammy, probably one of the best things he ever did was introducing me to you... even if i hated it at first."

"I love you more, definitely.. we have had our ups and downs, but we're together now and that's all that counts in my head."

Bucky decided to let it go and not check in on Sam as he was dancing around pretty eagerly and didn't seem to be hurt, even though Bucky couldn't help worrying about Sam sometimes, he was the most important person to Bucky. He just rolled his eyes and took off his shirt to go and do the laundry, pressing a kiss to Sam's cheek on the way past. "I'm glad you're proud of yourself... cheater."

Sam knew that Bucky was always going to worry about him, that was a given, but he wanted him to also know that despite everything that had happened to the ex-hitman, things were not like they used to be. He would try to prove that everyday, that Bucky could live as his full self, without worrying about him. It would be a lost cause probably but Sam wanted to still try so that the 110 year old could be truly at peace. Little things like dancing around and being silly he hoped Bucky would see that Sam despite not having the serum, could handle himself. He saw his partner roll his eyes and then was in awe of the muscles. He had to pretend he wasn't drooling. He coughed and let Bucky kiss his cheek and shrugged. "I am proud of myself. Very proud in fact. I didn't cheat, it was fair game babe. Enjoy the laundry." He chuckled.

"I know.... I know." Bucky sigh, grabbing Sam's hand as he listened to the other man. He was just happy to see the other again. "I didn't, but i rather not have anything for my birthday." He admitted, his birthday was a thing that Bucky didn't quite like and especially not nowdays.

"I'm here now though." He held Bucky's hand on his and smiled. He had definitely missed his boyfriend. He nodded and chuckled. "Well it was very small and very unique to us. But if you really don't want a present, then fine. No present." He was playing it off, then shrugged. "But I did get you that book you had been wanting for ages, and I thought we could add a photo of us on our mantel." He gave Bucky the mentioned gifts. "No wrapping, just keeping it casual." He said trying to be cool, but not really sure if it was working.

Bucky groaned in defeat as he was beaten to the safe house, it was a losing battle but that didn't help his apparent competitive streak. He pulled into the garage and swatted lightly at Sam, bumping his shoulder as he took his guns off and put most of them in the garage. "You had a head start." He insisted, rolling his eyes again and he nudged his partner lightly. "You didn't get hurt or anything?" It was a normal check, Sam was the most human (and fragile) out of the duo.

Sam was dancing around on the spot and in a circle. He never won usually so he was going to revel in it. Seeing his partner he played it up even more and faked that the bump had hurt, he did check Bucky out, as the moon lighting through the garage was doing wonders. "You are a sore loser! I did not." He nudged him back and shook his head, giving him a hug as he got checked keeping the hug in place for a bit. "No. I'm fine. I'm Captain America babe, used to be the Falcon, used to scrapes and stuff, not that I have any ok. Don't worry about me." He danced in the hug holding Bucky. "I won, I won."
