⠂ ⠀ LAST SEEN : depends . he was likely on patrol or stationed outside the warehouse so the world is your oyster . ⠂ ⠀ TIME : around 8 : 32 pm .
what is halloween ? it was understood better when he was a child ; the only time of year where you can dress up as something silly and get candy for free from your neighbors . now, as a man in his 50's with a family and a job, he couldn't fathom the idea behind it for those older . outside of dressing up... inappropriately ( slutty was in this year, as some college students said ) and getting discounted drinks, what was the appeal ?
demetrius stood in front of his police car as he watched the people explore the streets, munching on a mini snickers bar given to him by a kid . his sheriff's uniform was spick and span, saved for the obnoxious red cape hanging off his back and the fake fangs held in his hand . "my wife thought it'd be fun for me to dress up this year. 'said i need to... stop being "old" for once," he goes on about to the person not too far from him, using air quotes and rolling his eyes as he still chewed his candy.
" so yes, i am a sheriff vampire . i am not dewey from scream if he was in twilight, nor am i count dilf-ula . whatever the hell that any of that means . "
she's amused by the cape that you truly have to pay attention to see since the uniform is so much more conspicuous. it is always daunting seeing a cop even in a small town like this, even in one that she knew like the back of her hand. "i think the fangs have to go inside your mouth, sheriff." sinclaire's tone is soft, teasing, although she feels like she's walking on eggshells with everyone around her. particularly her own daughter but so far things haven't been too hectic.
sinclaire herself isn't wearing a costume, she feels that would be a bit too ridiculous for a woman that's most likely spending the entire night alone. she should be at home writing but she has a feeling that something is about to happen. halloween night and all. the last costume suggestion earns a genuine laugh from her. "was it your wife that called you that or one of the college students?" she's not sure which one is worse.
