when jax was talking to ribbit she opened up about her essentially "coming out" to her mother after being tired of her mother telling her that she wasn't manly enough. she told her mother likely something about her not being manly enough because she isn't a man in the first place. Her mother laughs at her and most likely said very homophobic and transphobic things. then when her mother hugged her which is something a lot of bigoted parents do hating their child for coming out then comforting them saying bullshit like "we can fix this i won't let them take you away. from me" etc etc.
after realizing she just came out to ribbit she panicked and tried leaving. ribbit accepts her instantly
after that ribbit puts their bow tie on jax as a bow saying "your secrets safe with me" I LOVED THAT SCENE DUDE I CRIED IT WAS SO CUTE AS SOMEONE WHO IS UNDER THE TRANS UMBRELLA
jax then freaks out and takes off the bow when kaufmo shows up. she's not ready to be open to everyone and her fear forces her back into the closet.
when pomni was looking at jax her true inner jax is bathed in pink lighting she also wants to go into the room with the other jax's but as the maid jax said: no girls allowed
watching her true self get shut away never to be seen by anyone but herself because she abstracted this is her realizing she doesn't want to abstract because she'll never get to be who she truely is
