"A very Western drink," Natalia teased, ordering another of her own for Victor. "I find whiskey unsettles my stomach, personally. Besides, Iโm Russian, vodka is my peopleโs poison."
He shrugged. โSwiss. I donโt think we have a drink to call our own. Instead, I just go for whatโs strongest. I think itโs starting to become a problem, though.โ
"Oh, dear," she said, though not exactly blameless herself. "The important thing, I suppose, is that you have a level of alertness about it. I had a dear friend fall into substance abuse, and he did not recognise it until he was in hospital."
