(1994) 3 Ninjas Kick Back
this soundtrack can be divided into two parts: meh imo and silly dance.
I quite enjoy the latter, especially considering that it’s well-constructed!
check out “Koji Dojo & Bonus Room”

check out “Koji Dojo & Bonus Room”
(1995) 3x3 Eyes: Jyuma Houkan
this is a lot less gritty than its predecessor. it’s alright though.
it excels at vaguely atmospheric tunes, stuff like “Factory”
(1992) 3x3 Eyes: Seima Kourinden
this soundscape seems to have a certain grit to it. it adds character. i like it.
check out “999″
(1995) 4-nin Shougi
kinda simple but really nice. chill stuff.
“Medieval Game 1″ is amazing
(1993) 7th Saga
a good soundtrack, as you might expect from enix.
it’s one of those orchestral-leaning but not purely orchestral per se. sort of deals. yeah.
“Frozen Depths of the Earth” has a cool sound to it. “World Map” is prolly my fav.
I feel like I should point out the lovely “Battle in a World of Light” just to show that it’s not a one-trick soundtrack.
(1998) A Bug’s Life
SGB stuff. it’s alright.
I enjoyed “Level Theme 2″ in particular
(1995) A Ressha de Ikou 3 Super Version
these samples are kinda default-kit sounding but i really enjoy how they were put to use.
it’s kind of an odd one to tag #good but i am just. really enjoying this.
“Theme 1″ was a lovely start and then “Theme 5″ pushed it over the top for me
(1994) A.S.P.: Air Strike Patrol
this has solid sound design! well, maybe a little muddied through that gaussian low-pass, but still solid snes work.
check out “Area 7″ for example
(1995) AAAHH!!! Real Monsters
this does an amazing job at capturing that sort of spooky but dreamy vibe that i [vaguely] remember from the show.
it’s really cool actually. “Stage Intro 3″ is some of the better quality orchestral ive heard from the snes honestly
“Gymnasium 3″ adds a beat tho, so it gets the highlight
(1993) ABC Monday Night Football
its ok.
honestly my fav tune is the incredibly short “Replay” just because the composer is SHREDDING that slapped bass. (dynamics are whack tho...)
(1993) Accelebird
this is a really strong soundtrack, to the extent that I suspect it might be originally from an arcade game. (didnt check tho...)
it has that sort of cohesive sample-based-but-might-just-be-a-rompler vibe if that makes any sense
check out “Inside Cheesering Tower”
(1993) Ace wo Nerae!
it’s a mix of alright and meh. I’m going to assume motoi is responsible for the former ;)
try “Practice”
(1994) ACME Animation Factory
it’s mario paint but with a looney tunes reskin.
im not a fan of the music, even if it is pretty aptly looney.
“Options” was the only one i kept
(1992) Acrobat Mission
hmm...it’s alright.
try “Space” maybe?
(1993) Action Pachio
its alright. kinda simple and chipper.
try “Planet Gilligan"
(1991) Actraiser
why is this so much more enjoyable than the sequel? lol
the obvious standout is “Fillmoa”, which almost sounds like its from a castlevania game
“North Wall” is a more calm highlight
(1993) Actraiser 2
...yep. this is some high quality snes orchestral. I can appreciate it for that but I still don’t really like orchestral lol
“Altheria” stands out imo
