Oneshot prompt if you’re up to it- Percy is cursed to 2 inches tall and none of the gods are able to fix his height, so he just has to wait for it to wear off. Meanwhile he’s freaking out a little at everything and everyone being even bigger than normal so he calls for Triton, who immediately scoops him up so so gently and tries to comfort him. Percy relaxes in his big brother’s grasp while Triton is kinda going nuts cause “oh my gosh he’s even tinier than usual” and gets super protective. Percy is cold and vulnerable at his tiny height, so Triton gulps him down so he’s safely tucked away until the curse wears off :3
Ooo I'm always up for prompts!!!
Getting dust thrown in his face by a monster wasn't exactly at the top of his list. Percy wheezes a bit as his slash his sword upwards, coughing, trying to get the slightly minty sting out of his system.
"Totally gross." He grumbles, relieved to see golden dust fluttering in the wind. It was different than whatever had been thrown in his face earlier. A frown settles on his features as he caps his sword after one more double-check. "I was literally just trying to go home, but gods, no, that's too difficult," he hisses under his breath, throwing his hands up in the air, glaring at the white clouds just sitting in the sky.
He sighed heavily before pocketing Riptide, finding the familiar motion comforting at least. He swore the universe laughed in his face about these things, or at the very least Zeus; it seemed like a Zeus-type of thing, honestly.
He grumbled under his breath, shoving both his hands in his pockets, making his way back to his apartment. His mom was making cookies, which was something he wouldn't miss for the world. It would be nice to stop by; he hadn't seen her or Paul for a while, not with school and monsters being such a pain.
The warm and fuzzy feeling of going home slowly faded when he started stumbling a bit more, his shoes seeming looser. Then the tripping over his pants began, and it wasn't an 'oh, clumsy me' situation. "What- come on." He grumbled, looking down, noticing his jean cuffs dragging on the ground... they... really shouldn't be doing that. These had been his best jeans, having survived multiple attacks. His shirt felt bigger too. Much too big. He takes a sharp breath in, looking up again. Eyeing the building and other people to gauge if.. "There's no way that I'm..shrinking?" Shrinking what did he even do to- the monster. "It's minty fresh and shrinks people?" The idea brought a near-hysterical laugh out of him.
Wait- if he was getting smaller than he really needed to get home. Like, as soon as possible. He swallowed thickly, trying to ignore the pounding in his chest as he picked up the pace. It was wrong. It felt so wrong, nothing like the warm feeling that came with the godly shrinking. Fences seemed taller, people too. He wasn't going to make it. Thanks to the mist, no one seemed concerned either- fuck, there were a lot of people, and there seemed to be no sorta slowing down with this shrinking.
He wasn't going to make it, so he ducked into an alleyway, his chest heaving. This wasn't good. This was the opposite of good. When did his breathing get so heavy? Why was he so freaked out about this? He got shrunk all the time by gods; well, they got big, but still-
He was not going to be tiny and nude. He had suffered through a lot, but this crossed the line in so many ways. It felt wrong too. The shrinking was much different than any other time the gods would make him small. It wasn't the warm feeling of completion but... an empty, cold feeling that left him disoriented. "I need help- I need." He trails off, swallowing hard. Would they come right away, though? His dad might be busy, same with Hermes or Apollo, but-
"Triton! I really, really need some help right now." He manages to choke out, hating how his voice cracked. He had survived literal hell, wars and battles, and yet this was the thing that was frreaking him out? He leaned against the wall, feeling nauseous, violently nauseous, trying to focus on the rough texture of bricks on his back. Which didn't last long; his were practically swimming around him now, pooling around him like an awkward tent. Thankfully, a bright light signified that his brother had arrived. A puzzeled looked settling on the too-perfect features of the god as he looked around.
"Triton, down here." Unease prickled under his skin when the gods' gaze fell to him. He hated being this small. He really did.
"Percy? How on- who did this?" Triton's voice was louder than usual, then again, that made a lot of sense considering how small he was. Didn't stop it from sucking majorly.
"I don't know a monster like threw dust at me; it tasted awful and minty, and all of a sudden I'm shrinking." Man, sitting in a cavern of clothes was unsettling. He grimaced, looking away, pulling the fabric more around him. At least when he was small, when his godly family did this, he felt..safer, protected in a sense. "So a little help?"
The warmth of divine energy settled around him, his nerves soothing at the comfort. His clothing adjusted to his height in an instant, which was the only good thing. "Uh...Triton? Also, the height thing."
"I'm trying." The reply nearly made Percy want to throw up. What did 'trying' mean, as in couldn't fix this?
"It's..odd you shouldn't be stuck at this size," Triton says, a frown settling on his features. That wasn't... exactly giving Percy any positive thoughts. He shivers, the adrenaline itching under his skin like dry sand.
"Cool, great, it's odd. Just fix it." He pleads, tapping his fingers against his legs. Being this small was... well, not great. It was wrong. It felt so wrong. He had somewhat gotten used to being small around his godly family, but this- this felt like being underground, like being in the sky- an unseen threat ready to sink its claws into-
He flinched, taking a deep breath in, trying to will his heart to stop beating so hard. "I don't think I can." Triton finally answered, Percy, trying his hardest not to stumble backwards when his half-brother knelt next to him. This was all so wrong. He had never been frightened of his brother before, not even when the god would make him a tad smaller.
"Why not? What do you mean by you can't?" He demanded, clenching his fists.
"Whatever you've killed, I cannot undo what it has done to you." At least Triton was speaking softly, probably from having seen his previous reaction. His voice still rumbling like the rolling waves on the shore. Just like whenever they shed their more mortal forms in the ocean. He felt like... a speck.
Though the hands encircling him were comforting. Familiar even. He can't help but lean into the touch, grasping onto a finger, curling into the familiar pulsing feeling of divine energy. "Any other ideas? Maybe Dad knows?" He grumbles, nearly going limp as Triton maneuvers him more into his hand, cradling him like a pearl or some fragile piece of glass. Triton rarely handled him like he would break at any moment, carefully sure, but never like a sneeze could kill him. Then again, a sneeze probably would kill him now.
His stomach swoops as he's lifted higher, the awful sensation of flying rolling over him.
"Perhaps... though...are you... certain you want to travel to Atlantis like... this?"
Godly travel already sucked, and the idea had a shiver travel up his spine. "I mean. What other choice do we have? I'm not going to stay stuck bite-sized." He grumbled, crossing his arms. It already sucked whenever he was smaller, but 2 inches was really pushing his sanity. The wrongness of his height only added to his nerves.
A silence washed over them both, Triton bringing him to his chest. While the sea gods typically weren't warm in a traditional sense, Percy found himself leaning closer. He needed to feel that pulse of divine energy that always seemed to ebb at his panic.
The familiar rhythm of Triton's heartbeat gradually gave Percy something to focus on. It was strange how easily the sound cut through everything else, more so because he knew his breath deliberately made the heartbeat happen. Gods didn’t typically have heartbeats, or breathing, or much of anything going on. The distant noise of the city, the uncomfortable awareness of his tiny size, even the frantic thoughts chasing themselves around his head seemed to dull beneath that steady, impossible pulse.
The god shifted his hold slightly, making sure Percy was supported securely against him before looking down. His expression had softened considerably, the usual regal distance gone from his features.
"You're frightened."
Percy gave him a flat look. "Yeah, no kidding." He scoffed, his hand gripping the fabric of the ‘human’ clothes Triton had donned. He was doing everything he could to keep himself together. He really was. He'd dealt with worse. He had faced monsters, armies, Titans, Tartarus itself. He had stood on battlefields with entire armies depending on him.
Being two inches tall shouldn't have been what broke him.
But it was.
His surroundings were too enormous. His clothes had already been magically adjusted, but that didn't change the fact that the ground was a vast expanse beneath him, that every movement Triton made felt enormous, that a gust of air from an open doorway could nearly knock him over.
“May…I suggested a small solution?” The herald of the sea asked after a moment of silence. Percy had a feeling he knew exactly what his half-brother was asking. Of course the sea god would suggest it.
“You can, but I have a feeling I am outright going to refuse it,” Percy grumbled. Triton's fingers curled around him enough to create a protective barrier.
His face got that stupid look, the one where his brows pinched and his eyes narrowed like he was thinking because, of course, he was. Probably some solution- well, not a major one, just a place to put him for now. He paused, his gaze dropping to Triton’s middle, the god’s gaze following his.
“I assume you know what I am going to offer then,” Triton says dryly, a hint og amusement on his face.
Percy snorts, looking away, his cheeks warming. “Yeah, and I’m going to refuse, weirdo.” He grumbles, ignoring how the chill of the wind seemed to cut through him. Yes, his dad and Triton were typically cold too, but wind cold and sea cold were very different things.
But the idea of somewhere quiet, familiar, and protected was beginning to sound less like an embarrassing solution and more like exactly what he needed.
He groaned, rubbing his face after more silence had passed between them. "Fine."
"Fine?" Triton repeated, tilting his head, a smile tugging at his lips.
"Don't make me say it twice." Percy pointed a tiny finger at him, eyes narrowed as he stared up at his brother. He swore the Fates liked to just laugh at him, constantly.
"I merely wanted to be certain." The god said with false innocence, his smile only widening. Great smug half-brother shenanigans.
"But I'm only agreeing because this is objectively a terrible situation." He let out a hiss in defiance as Triton lifted his hand upwards. The familiar feeling of his organs flipping at the movement was oddly comforting. He associated it less with falling now and more with being snatched up by gods ready to swallow him down into whatever they called ‘stomachs’
"Of course, dearest brother,” Triton murmurs, Percy hating how he relaxed as he was brought to the god’s face, his mouth opening in preparation. The scent of saltwater washed over him. The space, like their father’s, glowed a light blue color.
"And if you tell anyone I willingly agreed to this, I will deny everything." He snaps, putting his hands on the god’s lower lip. He couldn’t believe he was doing this. Willingly. Normally, he would only agree to this when he was exhausted and needed refuge from the nightmares.
He snorted at the thought, hauling himself up over his half-brother’s lip, grimacing as the god’s tongue was there waiting, creating a barrier over his bottom teeth- well, fangs; Triton always seemed dramatic with his teeth.
It was oddly nice knowing that even when he was tiny, and probably very annoying, his half-brother still cared about him. Better than being some bastard he didn't care about. The ‘saliva’ pooled around him instantly, though it was more like seawater than anything. It always made the whole process easier, depending on the god biology which they changed at any given time. For example, he saw a fish happily swimming what looked like underneath him. Triton always had the weird habit of being sorta see-through like a jellyfish, where he looked completely solid on the outside but would show off the fact he was of the sea. Hence the fact that he could see sea creatures swimming through what the god had constructed as a body.
“You’re like a weird reef.” He mutters, pulling himself more onto the tongue, just taking a moment to lie there. He peers back out to the massive world he had no desire to interact with right now. It was always so weird to see the world through framed fangs. Really, it was like a monster movie, but he didn’t feel any fear, just... a normalcy. It was becoming normal to him, much to his annoyance.
He took a sharp breath in and scooted forward more, turning his gaze to the back of the god’s throat. It wasn’t really like a human's, more like a tunnel or what someone who had poorly described how swallowing works.
“Okay... well, bottom's up I guess.” He mumbles, stretching his arms above his head and sliding forward, Triton helping by tilting his head back at the same time. Gravity took over, and he slipped downwards. It went too fast for him to really take in his surroundings, like getting streamlined into a current.
He landed with a plop into the space, water gently sloshing around him.
“I assumed you would still like to breathe air.” Triton mused, his voice rumbling around him like a storm at sea. Percy rolled his eyes, though he really did appreciate it. Triton always seemed to be thinking about him even in small ways.
“I mean, yeah, it’s pretty great.” He said, stretching a bit, getting used to the feeling of being inside yet again. The outside world couldn't tower over him here. He couldn't accidentally trip over clothing that was suddenly several times his size. There weren't footsteps echoing nearby or enormous corridors surrounding him.
Triton's divine presence surrounded the space like the distant rhythm of the ocean, slowly changing like it always did. Gods appeared human; they weren’t these forms were just that, forms. Percy sat comfortably against what felt like a really firm bubble, letting his body sink slightly into it, watching clear water ripple gently around coral formations. Soft blue light shimmered across its surface, shifting with the faintest movements. Tiny currents curled lazily around the edges, carrying the distant sound of waves, moving with each movement Triton made.
“Father may be nearby; I will ask him about your… affliction.” The god murmured, though really Percy couldn’t care less at the moment. The fear of being tiny wasn’t a big concern when he was in here.
“Well... I’ll be here until you guys figure something out,” Percy said with a small shrug, getting more comfortable, watching as fish swim in the waters around him. For now... he’d take this moment to just relax and breathe. He’d get his mom’s cookies whenever this whole silly thing resolved.
Would it be alright if I took some inspiration from your PJO stories for a project I'm working on (probably won't be finished for a while) about Pantheon tums? I'll credit you, of course.
The project will be more EP¡C the musical related than PJO if that matters.

(Also your writing is so fun and peak and I love it <3)
ABOSLUTELY anything that gets more PJO vore out there!!! Theres only so many concepts on can use for god tums too considering their domains limit what the insides can be-
Super glad you enjoy my writing too!! But yes pls pls pls use anything you need to help with your own series!!!
Man honestly I think it'd be *so* healing for Iruma's secret to get out to his friends and for the whole "dude how'd you even get to the netherworld" thing to happen and everyone being OUTRAGED at what his parents did. I can imagine Sabonock being like how DARE they disrespect my rival!! Alongside Azz and Clara like "iruma... that's horrible"
OML YESSSSSS
Like first its Azz and Clara because hes super close to them, so obviously they find out/he tells them. And theyre all trying to be sneaky about it, but the unfortunate thing about the trio is that theyre are very very bad at sneaking around.
Like maybe one time Azz has to hide Iruma and he cannot keep his hands off his middle and hes compeltelt flustered he cannot hide a secret with a damn. Its totally suspicious and theres a ton of questions being asked-
But yesss everyone in the class isn't happy learning that Iruma had the worst life as a human. Maybe at first they just assumed he was an abused demon hatchling due to ya know a bunch of odd things so theybwere already protective over him. Now through in the fact hes human?? Oh 100x more. Because the kids just assume theyre suppose to eat the human because thats what they've been taught for so long, but discovering that?? No?? Humans just have a great power of healing??
I miss seeing Poseidon being all protective of his lil danger magnet of a son, I would love some noms. Completely fine if you don't wanna of course ^^
OH absolutely! The danger child has no concept of self preservation sometimes, Poseidon swears. Percy will be the first demigod to actively turn a god grey!
Poseidon had been trying very, very hard not to interfere; he had rules, the Gods had rules. Gods could guide. They could provide signs, send dreams, manipulate circumstances in subtle ways. They were not supposed to simply reach down and solve their children's problems whenever those children got themselves into trouble.
Quests were sacred things. Fate mattered. Choice mattered. That, with the stupid rule Zeus had implemented, while that was slowly becoming more lax, made things complicated. No recuses were meant to happen regarding their children.
Percy had to live his own life; he had to make his own choices… No matter how absolutely stupid it was. Poseidon understood all of that, but he also understood that Percy apparently intended to test exactly how much danger one person could survive.
"Three seconds," Poseidon muttered. Within the endless blue of his domain, staring through the waters as though the ocean itself were a window. Far below, a tiny boat bobbed across the surface. His son was in it. Again.
Poseidon narrowed his eyes. "Three seconds," he repeated, rubbing one hand over his face. "That's all I asked for."
The boy had been attacked by harpies not even an hour ago, and Poseidon had watched the entire thing. He had watched Percy stumble across the deck, sword in hand, already exhausted from however many miles of sailing he had endured, and watched the harpies dive from the clouds. He had watched Percy fight them, and win.
That was the infuriating part. Percy always won, no matter what task was given. Not cleanly, or easily, and certainly not without getting battered around like a piece of driftwood caught in a storm, but somehow, impossibly, the boy always managed to drag himself upright again.
The harpies had been driven away, some turned to dust, which was now swirling through the water. His satisfaction at gladly erasing any trace of their extenece with battering the currents around the remains.
Percy had collapsed against the side of the boat with annoyed laughter, covering his eyes from the sun, sword still in one hand as he caught his breath. So, stupidly, Poseidon had relaxed.
For approximately three seconds, because then Percy had gotten back up.
Poseidon stared, his hands gripping the edge of his viewing pool. "Why?" He hissed out, eyes narrowing in complete annoyance and disbelief.
The demigod had capped his sword, stowing it within his pocket for later.
"Why are you standing?" He grumbled, watching as the boy started checking the boat for damage. Poseidon's eye twitched, taking a deep breath in, bubbles swirling around him; a shark wisely swam the other way when spotting its king’s mood.
"You're bleeding." Percy kept working, unaware of his father’s mood. The waves rocked the boat ever so slightly. The demigod apparently decided that this was an excellent time to begin repairing the sail.
Poseidon groaned, rubbing his face in exhaustion. All his son had to do to heal was to dip his hand into the water, and then he would be fine. Healed. Perfectly energized. He looked down at the tiny vessel again, annoyance brewing in his chest again. Mostly directed at his danger-prone son, but mostly at the minor god. He knew there was a minor god involved in this quest, some task, some object Percy was supposed to retrieve from somewhere out in the ocean.
The sea god hadn't bothered to learn the details, and at this point, he didn't care. The quest could wait; whatever minor god’s item was lost could frankly be lost for all of time. Percy’s well-being could not. The familiar hollow ache twisted inside him, like a whirlpool trying to suck a ship into it. He hated the urge to shelter someone within him, to swallow them down into his own being. Memories of his own entrapment always ghosted his awareness. Having someone else decide where he belonged, what he was allowed to do, whether he was permitted to move, being ignored like he didn’t exist. To be coated in wine and food, mashed up against his siblings as the space got more and more cramped. The darkness haunted him to this day.
The memory was enough to make Poseidon recoil. He could not do that to Percy, would not.
The thought of putting his demigod child somewhere he could not simply leave terrified him more than he wanted to admit. Poseidon knew his son, knew how Percy hated feeling helpless, despised being restrained. Hated being unable to fight his way out of a situation.
Though recently, they both had gotten used to it. Percy commented that it was the only place he could have ‘truly rested’. Poseidon had slowly relaxed into the idea more; it wasn’t trapping his child, hadn’t made him feel like he was being buried or forgotten. The twisting hollow pain didn’t need to be ignored, not when Percy let him.
Still, it made him tired, not physically, of course. Gods did not tire in quite the same way mortals did. This was something deeper, something that settled behind his eyes and pulled at his patience.
His son was exhausting.
Making the choice hadn’t been hard, just a mild hesitancy he always had when it came to swallowing any of his children. He knew it was safe; Triton at times would even indulge in it, despite his princely protests. So he teleported to where his son was. He wouldn’t even need to deal with Zeus’ annoying nagging, mostly consisting of this wasn’t his domain. The lord of the sky rarely drew attention to the sea.
Poseidon smirked at the thought, slowly lining himself up with the boat bobbing on the surface. Right now, Percy was most likely ignoring his wounds and was probably ensuring the boat was fine, which was stupid, considering that regardless of what happened, the sea would have assisted the boy in any manner needed.
In this form, he was massive, not fully divine; he didn’t want to scorch Percy from the face of the earth after all. There were merits to monsters who could swallow ships whole; he had been one of those beings at one point in time, and right now he was about to do it again. As he moved upwards through the water, his mouth opened up wide, blue light cutting through the dark of the deep; fish and other sea creatures scattered, though some rushed down the construct of his throat to his stomach. Of course they were safe; the water within was the same as their environment, just that it glowed within him. The sensation of small beings within him deeply satisfied the instinct, but that didn’t stop his path upwards.
Percy had frowned when he noticed a group of fish who had been eagerly begging for him to say hi, just scattered without a second word. “Uh.. Guys?” he called out, peering over the side of his little boat before freezing. A massive blue light was rapidly approaching, and it was absolutely massive.
“Oh… that’s… not good.” He laughed weakly, calling upon the sea to respond to him. Normally, this meant that the currents would rocket him out of the path of… whatever this was. Instead, there was resistance, meaning he wasn’t getting out of here any time soon.
He squinted his eyes, peering over the side of the boat, hands gripping the wood nervously. Maybe it was just a sea dwelling coming to say hi? A lot of the deeper sea people were unfairly large compared to mortals. Instead, he could just barely make out massive teeth larger than the boat, and a glowing mouth that just barely showed the entire creature’s mouth, and some poor sea creatures getting trapped within the suction and disappearing down its throat.
He grimaced, mentally preparing himself for an internal journey, something that happened way too many times with monsters nowadays, gross. He had just enough time to brace himself before the entire vessel slid toward the open mouth.
There was no violent snap of teeth, praise the gods, just the mouth opening wider and allowing the ocean to carry the boat inward, just as a massive basking shark might open its mouth and let an entire volume of seawater rush inside.
The boat crossed the threshold as the creature's mouth reached the surface, fangs framing the entire world as blue light pulsed around him- blue. Blue light. There was no way that this was his dad.
For a dizzying moment, there was nothing but water, divine light, and the sensation of being carried forward by an impossibly powerful current as his boat gracefully sailed over the water just barely above a massive tongue, and straight towards the back of the throat.
“Dad?!” he calls out, his voice bouncing throughout the space as his boat rapidly took a plunge. A poor turtle that got caught int he cross fire slipped down the massive passage downwards, Percy watching until the muscle- or whatever gods were made of- obscured the view.
A pleased rumbling answered his question, any nerves dissipating within seconds. Of course it was his dad. There were very, very few sea creatures that actively tried to eat him, and normally it was because they forgot he had a massive sea god in his corner.
"You're kidding me." The rumble came again, sounding a bit more smug, as Percy’s boat balanced precariously at the edge, the bow pitching just slightly downwards, the last of the water cascading down the soft glow of blue, a few fish disappearing to no doubt the stomach- or, well, a god’s stomach equivalent.
Percy rested his forehead against the mast, letting a small snort out. Of course this was his dad’s attempt at keeping him safe. Though he had never had it happen like this before. Well, once, but he had been tucked deep inside Triton at the time. “You’re so overdramatic,” he mumbled, his insides doing a flip as his boat finally tilted down fully.
He gripped the mast, letting out a whoop as he plunged downwards. The fall didn’t take long before his boat fully plunged into the water beneath. Percy let the boat float back upwards, but stayed in the water, taking a deep breath in, letting the cold seawater rush into his lungs. Fish and that poor sea turtle swam around the space, seemingly unbothered now.
“Doing alright, little buddy?” He prompted with a small grin. The turtle stared at him with the profound lack of concern possessed only by animals that had absolutely no idea they had just been swallowed by a primordial sea god. Then swam away, probably exploring the space.
He looked around at all the fish and other creatures swimming around the vast space, then he looked upward, as best he could because technically, no upward. Just Poseidon in all his godly glory- well, as close as he could get to it without burning him from the inside out.
"You're going to yell at me, aren't you?"
The answer came as a deep vibration through the water. It wasn't quite a voice. Poseidon didn't speak normally in here, not when he was like this. The entire space belonged to him. Every current, every ripple, every pulse of blue light carried something of his presence.
Though Percy could feel the amusement in it. “Oh, don't give me that." He said with a small grin.
Another rumble answered him, almost like an eye roll. Something that his dad was probably doing at the moment.
"I won." He pointed out, floating within the water, letting the chill wash away his aches from the fight, properly healing him. The currents swirled around him comfortingly, washing away any blood that had clung to him.
"You're being judgmental." The current nudged him gently sideways, and Percy snorted despite himself. Silence washed over them both as he just watched the fish swim around. Some were brushing against the boundaries of the stomach, bumping into the walls before wriggling into spaces as if still within the reach of a reef. Really, it was pretty; he had a feeling it was made more ‘mortal’ like to not scare him, though. Gods could make their innards look like anything, after all, Aphrodite basically had a luxury bed as hers.
Still, he would need to get back to his quest. Minor gods weren’t as bad as the 12 were, but they were still bossy and hated any small inconveniences. "How long?" He prompted after what was probably just a couple of minutes of silence.
The water shifted, the currents brushing around him as if trying to distract him. Percy raised an eyebrow, having a feeling this wasn’t going to be as simple as he was expecting.
"How long are you planning on keeping me here?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. Some fish darted around him before disappearing again as if realizing their little lord was about to argue with the king.
The response was immediate; the current gently pushed his boat farther away from where it had been resting above him, sort of floating away like it was being pushed. Percy stared at it, then he stared into the surrounding blue.
"You've got to be kidding."
His father's amusement rolled through the water, accompanied by a delighted rumble that vibrated the water around them.
"You can't just hide my boat!" Percy argued, throwing his hands up in annoyance, though he couldn’t stop his smile from widening.
Another rumble.
"I need that!" The boat drifted another few feet away, and Percy swam after it, well, tried to. The current immediately turned him around and gently pushed him downwards.
"Hey!" He sputtered in disbelief, laughing a little. "You're impossible."
A deep, affectionate vibration answered him.
Well, he was probably going to be stuck here for a bit... and if the minor God was upset about that..well, Percy highly doubted that they’d want to confront Poseidon about the lateness.
Okay so I was the one who made the suggestion for more Bendy content. Major Bendy yumeshipper, especially Ink Bendy^^
Anyways, I've been struggling with my mental health lately and I love the idea of Inky giving his partner safe noms to stop them from doing something irrational and keeping them tucked away until they calm down.
Sorry to hear that you're not doing well :( More than happy to help with a little blurb of a story! Hope it's up to your standards!!
The studio had never sounded so quiet. Usually, the silence around the studio was never truly silent. There was always the distant drip of ink somewhere in the walls or from something; there was the groan of ancient machinery, the occasional flicker of a dying light, and the buzzing noise of electricity. At the moment, however, Bendy barely noticed them; his attention was fixed entirely on Tabby.
She was pacing, back and forth, back and forth again, and again. Her mechanical ears twitched constantly, the little metal joints clicking each time they moved. Her wings were pulled tightly against her back, trembling with every breath. Her screen flashed wildly from one expression to another: fear, anger, confusion, despair, none of them staying long enough for Bendy to understand exactly what she was feeling.
"Tabby." He tried speaking directly to her, a voice no one else could hear except her. She didn't answer, her pacing getting more frantic, her transformation barely being held at bay.
A small noise came from him trying to get her attention again; this time, he was granted a response.
"I can't." Her voice came out strained and distorted, choked with emotion. Bendy's expression immediately softened, as much as it could be, being forever frozen in one expression. His ink dripped down his face slowly.
Tabby spun around to face him, thick, inky tears streaming down the screen. I can't do this, Bendy. I can't- can't keep doing this. Everything is just-" She let out a frustrated hiss, her ears flattening to her head. The orange expression on her screen twisted into something that looked painfully close to tears again, accompanied by more tears running down her face.
Bendy let a mournful noise out, his dripping claws coming upwards to cradle her face, tenderly using his clawed thumbs to wipe the tears away. He hated seeing her like this, so… overwhelmed.
"I can't make my head stop. I can't make it quiet. I can't think straight, and every time I try to think about something else it just gets worse, and I-" Her words collapsed into static, and she jerked her head back from his hands, something that briefly made his own inky being hurt. He knew Tabby well enough to recognize what was happening. She wasn't thinking clearly anymore. She was spiraling, grabbing onto every frightening thought her mind could produce and treating each one like undeniable truth.
And Bendy couldn't punch that problem; he couldn't threaten it or scare it away in the slightest. For once, brute force was completely useless. So he thought about what could work, and well, one thought came to mind.
His ink.
Ink had always been part of him. Not merely something that flowed through his veins, but something that answered him. Something that belonged to him so completely that he could shape it into almost anything. And there was something else, a trick he'd learned over the years and had used a few times to keep things safe, such as the little rats who he had become so fond of. He could create a space within his ink.
A little pocket of himself that could hold anything safely.
Normally, Bendy would never suggest something like that without warning. It was an intimate thing, almost impossibly so. To be surrounded by his ink meant being surrounded by him, his presence, his warmth, the steady rhythm of his supernatural existence, but Tabby was falling apart in front of him, and Bendy knew that if he could just get her somewhere quiet enough, somewhere where the outside world couldn't reach her for a little while, she might finally be able to breathe.
"I don't want to be alone." Tabby's ears lowered slightly, his transformation flickering around her, threatening to come out. Not that he didn’t appreciate how she looked transformed, but he was going to keep it from happening. Tabby was in no state to feel big and out of control right now.
Bendy made a noise to get her attention again, cradling her face with his hands again, pressing her forehead against him with a soothing hum. Tabby's wings shifted uncertainly.
"I don't trust my head right now," she whispered, her voice thick with frustration, anger, and desperation. He could help. He couldn’t completely fix the problem, but he could at the very least keep her with him, safe, warm, and loved.
Eventually, Tabby slowly reached for his hand; her fingers were trembling. Bendy shifted his hand, gently closing his hand around hers. A moment of brief peace before he tugged her closer against his body, pressing her body against his chest. He wasn’t about to risk accidentally knicking her on his fangs. He let a small hum out, nuzzling her face before allowing his ink to slowly start brining her inside. It spread outward in a slow manner, slowly oozing over her hands, then his arms, and continuing down her body as she was drowned in his.
Tabby let a startled breath out before slumping forward in relief. It was warm, almost like being wrapped in a blanket. Her wings loosened, ears stopping their twitching as Bendy carefully guided the ink around her, letting it respond to her movements rather than forcing her still. The dim lights faded as she was brought deeper into his ink until it swallowed the last of the distance between them, tugging her into his body.
For one brief moment, Tabby felt weightless, then she was somewhere else. A quiet little space surrounded by soft darkness. No studio, machinery, or flickering lights, and no walls closing in.
No thoughts demanding her attention; there was just Bendy.
His presence surrounded her from every direction, warm and steady. She could feel the faint rhythm of him beneath the ink, like an enormous heartbeat that didn't belong to a physical organ so much as to his entire being. The ink rippled around her with each small movement.
Tabby curled, her wings folded around her as she took a deep breath, her thoughts slowing their swirling inside her head. For the first time in what felt like hours, she didn't have to hold herself together; the ache of her body wanting to transform faded away like waves erasing patterns in the sand.
"You don't have to fix anything tonight." Bendy’s voice whispered within her mind. Tabby squeezed her eyes shut, welcoming the warmth of his consciousness brushing against hers.
"I don't know how to stop thinking." She whispered, her screen causing a dim light of orange within the dark space, watching how the ink pooled around her in steady streams before forming again and again, like an inky cradle.
The noise Bendy made was quiet, comforting, like a soft purring that rumbled around her like thunder announcing the arrival of rain. She took a shaky breath; the ink shifted around her, cushioning her without squeezing.
"I feel stupid."
A protesting noise from the ink demon.
"I feel broken." She muttered, resting her head against a wall of the ink, a small smile flickering on the screen when a disbelieving growl vibrated the inky refuge cradling her.
He didn’t speak much, but whenever he did, well, it made the computer demon feel like melting against him with gratitude. He just... understood. "I feel like I'm going to fall apart." Tabby mumbles. Bendy's presence seemed to settle around her even more firmly.
Her wings trembled as she curled tighter into the warmth of Bendy's ink. He didn't tell her to calm down, or to stop feeling what she was feeling. He hadn't even demanded explanations. He just remained there, steady and patient, letting his ink hold her while her mind slowly exhausted itself.
Minutes passed, the only noise being the ink slowly dripping from the ‘ceiling’ of the space to the bottom, where it pooled around Tabby. Eventually, her breathing began to even out, matching the steady dripping of ink pooling around her, then reforming back into the walls of the ‘stomach’.
The orange features on her screen softened, her ears relaxing as she took a small, deep breath.
"Bendy?… thank you.” She murmured finally, closing her eyes as she finally felt well enough to rest in... she didn’t even want to think how long. She shifted slightly, settling more comfortably into the warm darkness. A purr vibrated around her, indicating that Bendy was more than pleased she was at ease.
"Can I stay here a little longer?"
The purr almost became thunderous, answering her question without a word spoken. She laughed quietly, settling deeper into the ink.
You're gonna get all my Iruma-kun rewatch thoughts (at the canonball ep rn) cause I don't know anyone else who's watched it
One thing I really appreciate abt the show is that they're all just... dumb kids. They're high-schoolers acting their age, being dramatic, and crazy, and some of them have life figured out, and others don't. Ironically the show feels very grounded to me. It's all very charming (this is propaganda. I'm telling your audience to watch the show. It's wonderful)
Also I think Azz would be so very awkward abt eating Iruma. He'd puff up like the self important goober he is, that he's been trusted with this and then fumble actually getting Iruma in his mouth so bad cause you know his hands are shaking and he doesn't know how much Iruma's okay with being licked—at all??? Could Azz *get* him all the way down without slicking him up first? Would it be worse to embarass himself being too thorough or choke??—abd what does he DO
Idk I just think they'd be the same awkward dum dums they always are
Same here!!! Ive only met one other person (literally at my old job) who watched it too and man we were feral about it lmao!
It has been a hot minute since ive seen it but im gearing ip for some bingeing >:3
BUT YEZ like theyre just kids, yes there's some cultural differences and stuff but ultimately theyre just like the same as human kids. Dumb, impulsive having fun, needing to study- just kids.
I literally love that idea too because youre so right Azz prides himself on being anything Iruma needs but at the same times hes literally just like a kid. So he has no idea what hes doing. Iruma has waaaay more experience (literally two other times-) so Azz is so focused on being perfect and getting it just right for Iruma- but like he makes small little mistakes, accidently knocking Iruma flat when trying to lick him, making Iurma too big at first so theres a very awkward moment where Azz is pretending not to choke as he rapidly adjusts Irumas size and tries holding in the coughing fit hes dying to unleash- plus hes literally so terrified to move because what if he knocked Iruma over? What if hes mot comfortable? What if Clara knocks him over and squishes iruma???!
Plus you aboslutely know Clara goes between being Azz's body gaurd when he has Iruma tucked away becaude no way is she letting anyone hurt Iruma- then literally squishing Azz's stomach as she tries to hear Iruma, or pressing her hands against the skin so she can feel Iruma moving around in there-
