“no, no i don’t think i would ever want to do that. not unless i wanted to let any of you feed.” his laugh slowly faded away, he hadn’t been around that kind of scene in ages. recently busy with work, seunghoon hasn’t been able to catch up with mortals or those who stayed in the manor. gone for a few weeks, sometimes even months; he was constantly between going back and forth from different countries on business trips. fooling around was something he once indulged in, but it was hard staying interested in certain people these days. “i’ve lived many lives — honestly, it all becomes repetitive after awhile.”
all those centuries ago, after he ran away from his family before they could marry him off, seunghoon made sure to start living life by his own terms. freedom was scare back then, but after he met yeomna on the battlefield, bleeding to death, his fate turned around. “i wasn’t aware i had been carrying around a rule book. please, explain to me what set of rules you have in yours. maybe i can learn a thing or two.” what an interesting character, seunghoon thought to himself as he observed hansol with a keen eye.
“fair enough.” he shrugs again, observing the other carefully as the silence slowly took over his expression, his comment something that could obviously be understood by the masses of the coven, all familiar with some form of loss over the years, despite the fact that they were all so reckless whenever mortals walked through the front door--- but that was their reality, and the covens guidelines rarely were extended to concern those outside of the family when stomachs would ache. “the first and last mortal i bought over ended up on the front page of the newspapers as a missing person, and nobody thought to share even the smallest chunk of her with me.”
moving closer to the companion he’d gotten to know so little about before, hansol pressed a knowing smirk to his lips, the very fact that seunghoon hadn’t been aware of his reservations quickly amusing the devilish imp that lay within his soul. “really?” he cooed, his tone as different as the shift in his posture. “well, there are no rules in my book, so it might do you some good to borrow it--- but i’ve been told i’m not a very conventional teacher.”
bvkho:
“𝖂hat the hell are you talking about?” Filled with immediate question, his attention snapped to stare directly towards Hansol. Creases formed at his forehead, taken aback by what was being proposed. Was there anything to wonder about in the first place? Baekho never thought he had to make anything official, he figured everyone in the coven knew what was going on between him and a certain someone. “Assuming you’re talking about Zihao, I suggest you back off. It’s none of your fucking business,” he threatened, not really caring whether or not he was being irrational.
almost identical to a magician ( save for the cape and hat ) an antagonist knows how to guard a secret and when to reveal his cards to the audience; and being the former, hansol is quick to feign his innocence in the eye of irritation. “hmm?” he’s puzzled, sways on his feet as he bravely meets the others stare as if he’d never said a thing until that very moment. “am i not allowed to be up here anymore?”
chsgn:
“well, i’ve dated mortals before, but that never ends well. and marriage… it’s never suited me before, i don’t think it ever will.” seunghoon laughed to himself, sudden memories and thoughts of pervious relationships coming to mind. “probably nothing, i usually let whatever happens, happen. how about you? what would you do, hansol?”
“haven’t ever thought to bring a mortal home to meet the family, have you?” he laughs in suit, rather surprised that seunghoon had even had the time to court a human now and again; not that he thought it impossible. he was a rather handsome devil. “that’s one way to live, i guess.” a shrug comes to as he smirks at the question returned to him, almost certain he didn’t need to do anything to catch up to the regular folk of the world. “but if it were me in your shoes--- i’d start by throwing away whatever rule book you’ve been carrying around ever since i met you.”
sabve:
The barest hint of a smirk ghosted across his lips, and Sabre’s shoulders raised an inch or so in a nonchalant shrug. ❝I mean… who’s to say, right?❞ Glancing over his shoulder at Hansol, Sabre snickered, the sound little more than a quiet rumble in the darkness. He lived to tease. The younger vampires tended to be more naive, and therefore easier to trick. Luckily for Hansol, his intentions were good. When they finally made it down the stairs and were sauntering along the musty, moisture-laden corridor, damp bricks serving as the walls, Sabre caught the undeniable scent of blood. It was only years of experience that halted the shift of his canines. ❝They’re not alive, are they?❞
dropping his expression and the mood he had carried from the manor to the basement, hansol stops in his venture and stares into the darkness with ears pricked in curiosity. due to his young age, nothing strikes him as odd as they stand still. hansol hears not a stir, nor does he see any shift in the distance, and the smell of rot and blood and dampness obscures the better of his senses. “last i checked, she wasn’t breathing.” he hesitated with his response, guilt befalling him at the thought of a woman stumbling through the dark secrets of the coven as she trails blood from one hall to the other. “she’s dead--- and if she’s not, she will be.”

now, why did screens on phones have to be so small and difficult to use? well, at least, a little too difficult for a two-hundred and forty-seven to use. eunhye squints down at the phone in front her, a recipe pulled up saying to be the ‘best’ chocolate chip cookies to exist – a claim that the blonde doesn’t quite believe – as she tries to tie her apron up in the back. however, she abandons the apron strings, letting them fall against her sides, to double tap on the phone screen in an attempt to zoom in on the ingredients. instead, the phone zooms in on only one word, reading ‘sugar’.
eunhye gives up on trying, craning her neck to glance to the younger vampire. “hansol, dear,” she starts as she holds up the phone, “could you try to make sense of this? we could be here all night if i continue trying.”
with his own apron tied tightly around his slender waist, hansol sets down the necessary ingredients onto the island, flour and sugar stacked beside milk and the various other ingredients they will be required to dip into. as her question registers in his mind, hansol steps back for a moment, staring at the back of the female before slowly coming up behind her. his hands are quick to find the cords of her apron at her sides, he lifts and loops the strings around her waist, a gentleman as he brings them to meet around her front as he casually leans his chin against her shoulder, tying the perfect loose knot at her front as he hums.
once her apron has been secured, hansol stretches an arm around her to adjust the screen, a true millennial as the instructions find themselves displayed against the white light of the screen. “you’re clueless.” he teases, a smug smile thick on his lips as he returns to his position against her back, his fingers clasping together around her waist much like her apron cords. “it’s a good thing i agreed to help. we wouldn’t want you burning down the manor just to try and bake some biscuits.”
songxjaeyong:
it was beyond him, truly. how these people could be as old as they were, and still be so troublesome. of course, with age came boredom he supposed, which wasn’t a fantastic prospect in itself. he was stuck with a bunch of nubile looking grandparents who used poking their noses into his business as some sort of immortal replacement for the usual ‘get married and have children’ assault. “unlucky,” he muttered to himself, head shaking from side to side to clear his thoughts. “i am very unlucky…” eyes slated in the males direction he rolled his eyes. “god forbid you not warn them of the weather.”
“unlucky... you?” a laugh was almost unavoidable as hansol’s gaze lingered on the other figure in the room, the attitude not one he was unfamiliar with, despite how young he still was in relation to the rest of the coven. “if you smiled more often, your luck might change.” he teased. “your lack of luck must be the cause of this storm. ah, what a burden to the rest of us you are.”
@snghsl
“a woman was on the news,” seunghoon began, “apparently she’s marrying a zombie doll… though it looks more like the corpse of a child, how bizarre.” he chuckled mindlessly, though he aimed his attention towards the other male. “seems like mortals are loosing their minds faster than i ever could. i should catch up soon, shouldn’t i?”
“marry a mortal and you’ll have a corpse bride soon enough.” he teased, his interest more in the idea of seunghoon trying to play catch up than the strange woman in the west who’d let delusions and obvious mental instability turn her into an appalling joke worldwide. “but i do wonder what you would do to make up for that much lost time.”
bvkho:
ℌow brave, Baekho thought to himself, rolling his eyes as the other approached him with tease. “You’d be more than right,” he scoffed. Not falling for the pathetic attempt at seduction, he maintained his eyes away from the other, irritation beginning to claw at his mood. “I don’t play games, and I especially don’t like playing with what’s been used.”
“you don’t play games?” he quirked a brow in question, rather shocked to hear such a confession from none other than baekho himself. weren’t the coven rumors quite the opposite than what he was being told; hansol was almost certain everybody already knew exactly how baekho chose to play his games and who with. “ahh---” withdrawing from the ledge, hansol slotted his hands into pockets, an exhale of defeat visible in the cold air of the night. “then i wonder why you play with him.”

although sydney probably looks like she would steal something on purpose, she swears that this time it’s not her. “what do you mean i stole your favourite hoodie?” it takes her a while to figure out which hoodie hansol is talking about, remembers telling him that she likes it. “i know i stole your stuffs that one time but that’s it, i haven’t stolen anything from you after that!”
“and you expect me to just--- believe you?” he questions, head tilted as he steps toward the woman like a tiger stalking it’s prey, hands reaching to catch the hem of what she currently wore between fingers that would keep her from even thinking to retreat. hansol is playful by nature, but he is every bit the accuser as he eyes the woman before him. “you said the exact same thing last time, syd.”

hansol: yejun and jaejoon? i look forward to meeting them face to face kekeke
hansol: never fallen for a vampire?
“what motivates you?”
bvkho:
“𝖂hat a pity for the both of us then.” Again, he looked out into the city, admiring how small everything had looked from high ground. It was bizarre to think about how expanded everything had become in Seoul. The nightlife was thrilling, much more alive than it used to be, but it had also become more dangerous. “What to do…” he mumbled quietly, his fingers gripping at the veranda, contemplating.
“i might have an idea or two, to change that.” he teases, slipping from his position to hover closer to his shortsighted companion, smirk present on a vampires smile as he runs fingers swiftly towards the others in a quick pop, brushing from rail to arm and down to his own side again. “but i doubt you’d be interested. am i right for assuming that much?”

hansol: ahh lucky you, then. or... were they human? forget i asked.
hansol: mHM!! the best kind of comedy is the comedy that wasn't meant to be one!
𝔉eeling the cold breeze wrap around his ivory skin, Baekho looked out into the distant city lights, breathing in the air and turning his attention towards his company. “Have you ever thought about just completely losing it, because I feel like going on a rampage at the moment,” a slight grin pulled at the corners of his lips, a chuckle tempting to escape.
“every damn day.” he discloses with an exhausted yawn, the stretch of his limbs signifying just how difficult it was to maintain the facade of an otherwise well mannered young man. the city always looked so delicate when the moon had arisen, the chill of winter soothing dead skin as he stares at the distant landscape, unaware of the monsters living around the corner.
