I honestly hate the love for Barty and the hate for Bellatrix, and I find it very sexist, especially when I hear people say Barty is the best Death Eater. I mean, did you read the trial or not? Who was the one who cried and who was sitting in the chair like a queen!?

its actually fascinating how there's similar levels of illiteracy in the fandoms i've switched from this year. it's similar even if the target audience is different. like for example the db fanbase is full of dumbasses yet most don't pretend to be smarter than they actually are. the hp fanbase IS full of illiterates too but they actually write and talk like they understand the soure content and they don't. most are like "useless meta full of prejudices" noises BDJDJDJD

#so it's kinda pathetic here too (?#not addressing the inuyasha fandom bcs that's like 99% of the fandom. not going there #and while my entire heart adores rumiko; jkr is still far more consistent when it comes to her story than both rumiko nd toriyama #weren't rumiko and toriyama friends too jdjfjjff #the things i have to ignore from jkr's narrative are minimal in comparison to the amount of things i have to ignore from the other two (??

I think it is IMPERATIVE to Snape's characterization that he grew up destitute in a muggle neighbourhood but his mummy made him wear robes. And that he wore muggle trousers with those robes. Like it's foundational to understanding him (especially if wizard kids were already starting to dress more muggle by the 70s.)
