Blaine is right, Cooper never really takes advice.  I was talked out of getting him an acting book for Christmas.  I probably would have been on the naughty list had I wrapped that up.  But, I think you can handle him.   If anything, you just have to make Cooper thing that your idea was his in the first place.  He’s so into himself that he won’t even think twice about it.

He hasn’t heard my pitch yet. And once he does, I can say with some confidence that he will be hooked. Plus, where can he go wrong? I could totally hook him up with those opportunities that he has been wanting. Good advice. I like to take credit but I think I can sacrifice that for him.

Blaine: I do genuinely like the idea of recording ourselves, though. It'll be fun to have a recording of that.

Santana: Blaine, that was so cheesy and romantic that I would be gagging if I didn't know and love the two of you. But okay, fine. I believe you both.

Santana: We can record...but if I fall, we're deleting that immediately.

Not a bad idea, honestly. He might not take guidance very easily, but I know how to be persuasive when I need to be. I’m not necessarily here to boss anyone around, even though that is my dream, but I’m here to help people. I want to make people’s images look good. And in return? They make me look good. Perfect...I’ll make sure to take some time to throw some ideas around with him.

Kurt: I just realized I've been talking about this with Blaine, but never /actually/ replied to the text. Ice skating would be fun. As long as it comes complete with hot chocolate (not the frozen kind. It's too cold for that right now).

That is...actually a really good question, B. Just think about how much you could smell if you had two noses. Some may call it a blessing, but I wouldn’t want to have two noses while living in NYC. Some of the smells I get are too much on their own.

Blaine: Hey, I'm actually a pretty good at ice skating! Thank you very much.

Blaine: I once even did a dramatic storm-out on ice skates as a kid after taking the song River a bit too literal. About ten minutes after 'running away' from home on my skates, I realised I'd taken Cooper's gym bag. So I went back, as I knew he really needed it that afternoon.

Blaine: Anyway - I'm glad you're in! I can't wait to see /you/ try to gain your balance.

Santana: I actually can see you being good at that? It just seems like you would be a pro at ice skating. 'Cause you're pretty much good at everything it seems.

Santana: Okay, even I can say that /that/ is pretty damn impressive. I would have fallen immediately.

Santana: I'm always in for a good time with all of our friends. We can ice skate, gossip, enjoy freezing our asses off. What isn't there to love?

Brittany smiled a little as she noticed Santana blushed. She’d missed seeing Santana in general, but she really missed seeing Santana happy. The breakup had made things awkward and sad, which had made things between them strained. She was honestly most likely the one who made it strained, but she couldn’t help it. Every time she saw Santana, she just wanted to snap right back into how things had been before and she had to remind herself that they weren’t the same anymore. 

She shook her head a bit, looking down for a moment before looking back up at Santana. Brittany couldn’t help herself and she needed a moment to catch back up to the actual conversation. “It’s nothing like Lima here… No wonder you guys all feel so comfortable. You can finally be yourselves. Kurt can be a unicorn, you can be a shark… Because everyone else is the same. You don’t have to feel bad.” They’d always needed to pretend to be someone else back home, constantly pushing themselves to the back or trying to be something they weren’t. Of course Santana seemed happy, she was finally herself.

Brittany shrugged a bit, sighing. “I kinda feel like a lab rat… But, somebody finally thinks I’m smart again and they’re willing to listen. And they let me pick any city that I wanted for college. I finally had after high school options. I mean, a lot of teachers didn’t think I’d ever graduate. And this made my parents really happy.” She had started to worry that everyone had been right and that she’d be stuck in high school forever, constantly watching people cycle through without her.

“You can say that again,” Santana chuckled as she heard Brittany talk about New York. “It’s such a freeing place to be, really. I can be as snarky and judgmental as I want to be, and I fit right in.” There was a teasing tone to Santana’s voice to show that she was joking, but really, she wasn’t wrong. There were so many people that were just a headstrong as her in this city that she truly felt like she belonged. “I still need to make sure these people know who they are dealing with.”

There was a feeling of contentment that washed over Santana as she thought of where she started versus where she is now. It was amazing to wake up every morning in one of the best cities with opportunities everywhere. The one thing that always seemed to be missing was Brittany. Now that she was here, Santana felt whole once again. 

A flash of a frown appeared on her lips, but it was gone as quickly as it appeared. Instead, she painted a smile on her face. “Don’t ever settle for something you don’t like though, B.” Santana was silent for a moment as she gathered her thoughts, then continued. “Your parents might be really happy, but you need to make sure you are happy.” Santana couldn’t help it, she always was very protective of the girl. She knew that she didn’t really have the right to tell Brittany what was best for her, but she always wanted to make sure to look after her.
