"course," charlie's gaze swept the stands. it wasn't any sort of professional game (duh), so people were leaving without much struggle. most of the the people on the ice were gone by now, short of those- like him, making contact with someone in the stands. "looks like no 'good game' handshakes. refs must have wanted out and quick today. got to shower and change, that cool?"

sonny's smile never left her face. real game or not, she enjoyed watching him play. and she for sure made it obvious. "yeah, go ahead. i'll be right here waiting. i'll even buy you some fries and anything else you want when you're back."

Valentina nodded happily as she held her own plate and walked to the empty table, going to sit down. She put the plate down and her brown hues gazed around before landing back on Sonny. "Where's your next tour stop?" She inquired curiously as she fixed her posture before she took a sip of her beverage.

"seattle." sonny responded as she plopped down in front of her friend. quick to dig into her food. who knew that after performing such a big show that she'd get this hungry? now, every time she finished a day of live shows for so random, they'd all go out for pizza. but she was hungrier than that. "i swear, i don't think any of this is real. i might actually wake up back in wisconsin and none of this would be here."

He nodded in response - glad to help his closest friend with a song. Adrian lightly tapped his pen and observed her when she began to scribble and scribble, a wide grin on his face. When she hummed a bit and looked at him, his own grin went upwards before he straightened up in the chair. "There's the Sonny, I know." He looked at her and nodded before he pursed his lips. "I have this beat I made a while back..." Adrian spun away from her, pulling up the beat he made and pressed the spacebar. "What do you think?"

seeing the grin on his face, watching the excitement form around him, it made her feel like she was finally making somebody proud. it's been so long since she has felt that. always feeling like a disappointment. yet again, she didn't feel this way until she met everyone the moment she hit los angeles. listening to the beat, a smile appeared on freckled features as she nodded excitedly, "i love it!" a squeak escaping her lips, "i think i'm ready to go into the booth."

His hazel hues stayed on her brown ones, letting out a sharp exhale. His hues gazing upwards before he met hers and shook his head. "I was trying to impress you...to show you that I'm not as shy as I came off." Rafe explained - nervously messing with his digits before he lightly cupped her cheek. "Being you has always been enough for me, Sonny. You never have to try with me." He whispered before he leaned in and pressed his lips gently to hers.

he was trying to impress her? he didn't actually ask the girl out? now this was an immediate shock to the system. never did she believe that rafe had feelings for her for months. all the while she was trying to shove down her own because she believed there was nothing more to it. maybe it was the fact she closed herself off to such potential relationships due to the fact everyone around her didn't see her as enough. but he did. and before she knew it, his lips were on hers. sending her heart to beat rapidly and her stomach to do flips. could've sworn she felt chills go up and down her spine. eyes fluttered shut as she returned the kiss.

"you," fay answered. it's a bit easier for them the second time around. especially with it only being one word. but they knew it wouldn't be that easy forever and they'd need to explain. "actually, been you the entire time. you woefully misinterpreted which pretty woman i was into."

now it was all coming to sonny. but to be fair, sonny was never good at catching hints. no matter how obvious or not obvious it was? she never caught it. it took two years to even realize that chad had a thing for her. the girl could just never catch hints. "me...not tawni?" it was obvious she was still in shock. "why?"

"you'd think i wouldn't get embarrassed with my line of work. i still don't. but running into a wall in front of a cute guy? i might actually die."

"it's a really great read, you really should check it out some day. it's very long though, very sad and very french." she'd read it in middle school like a nerd, keeping a copy in her bag at all times in case the desire struck. "if you think the movie was dark for a disney movie, you're in for a wild ride. but the soundtrack is nothing but bangers."

"tell you what, you let me borrow the book and we can then come back together and gush about it?" it would be nice to have some down time to read. sonny couldn't remember the last she did with her work taking over her entire life. trying to prove more of herself to the world.
