Everything as it should be. Innovator could be much more cruel than they’re currently behaving, and they even plan to keep their word about keeping Sal alive. Just as they’re beginning to consider wrapping up their meal, the most horrendous thing happens. A wet finger slides into their pointed ear, bringing with it the squelch of warm saliva. Innovator doesn’t yell, or hiss. They scream, bloody murder, as if they’ve just been burnt by a white hot iron. Sal is dropped unceremoniously on the ground as they shrink away and back into a chair, tumbling over it as it hits the back of their legs. They desperately paw at their ear, shuddering and whining. Let it be known that the quickest way to defeat them is to upset their sense of hygiene. Nothing is more horrifying to them than filth. “Disgusting- Absolutely- W, w-why would you, oh Demonhead, oh gods-”
Okay, that was a little more of a reaction than he was expecting. He’s pretty much dumped on the floor like a sack of potatoes, hand coming up to cover his neck as Innovator screeches his way across the room. It’s kind of pitiful honestly, looking at the other man all scrunched up in his chair and pawing at his ear like a dog with fleas. He keeps a wary eye on the shuddering man as he flicks through his deck, slipping out a couple of cards and tucking the rest away. The large band-aid he holds goes on his neck without much fuss; the handkerchief is held out to Innovator, bright white and neatly folded. “Here. Use this. It’s clean.”
