I come bearing fruits from Chinese social media! So apparently someone on xiaohongshu (Rednote, one of the biggest social media sites/apps used by Chinese people around the world) is a waiter in Vancouver and met Hudson dining out with his family (looks like his mom and some Korean aunties and maybe even a grandma, but she wasn’t entirely sure).

OP said that H picked out a bottle of wine for the table but they didn’t enjoy it, so he asked her to recommend a bottle based on his descriptions. She did and they really liked it and H complimented her. She said that he was very polite and patient, listened to her talk and remembered her name, and she’s definitely a fan now!

She also joked in the comment section when people asked her if she recommended ginger ale, and said she was too shy to do it in front of his family lol.
