a couple weeks ago i was on a trip with three friends and we stopped in chinatown for lunch. while we were in this plaza/ food court-ish area, all my friends left to do various things, and i stayed with all our stuff at the table.
as im aimlessly staring at my surroundings, a woman begins to walk past me. just passing through the plaza, she’s clearly a little off-beat. i don’t want to assume drugs but, its safe to say most people would probably assume that at first glance.
but who cares. she smiled and waved at one man, she gave these two little girls a smile and nod…. and then she makes eye contact with me……. and.
so, remember, all my friends had just walked away, i was completely alone at our table, and there was nobody within ear shot.
she smiles at me, i smile back and nod,,,, she looks at me and goes “you’re gonna be blind soon”. never broke her walking pace, never stopped smiling.
nobody heard her but me,, then she kept walking,,, gave some more waves,, more smiles,,, and it was fine.
all of my friends came back around the same time and i was just sitting there like……….. what the fuck?
and i had forgotten about that until just now. that was two weeks ago.
