my issue with kpop mvs nowadays is that they are too jam-packed. a few years ago directors knew fans would gif everything so they made every cut a few seconds long or like a vine/tiktok. showing the faces - steady, eye level with us: yes, a bit cringey, but psychologically much more potent than constantly travelling tilted angles - was the highlight, with scenery second. this era we are being blasted with mere flashes that are hard to follow even if there's incredible stuff happening/being animated/danced/served and that's a real waste. videos, no matter how advanced, should still cater to human cognition, anything else makes me click off. zoom out so we know context, keep the camera steady more, don't show off technological quirks like they're strobe lights.
