Come, weave us a scheme so I can pay them back!
Stand beside me, Athena, fire me with daring, fierce
as the day we ripped Troy's glittering crown of towers down.
Stand by me - furious now as then, my bright-eyed one -
and I would fight three hundred men, great goddess,
with you to brace me, comrade-in-arms in battle!
Homer, The Odysse
I’m Beatrice and welcome to my blog! Here I have multiple projects all relating to warrior cats:
My warrior cat ocs within the universe of the Redux rewrite.
Apologies for the wait @cagedcats , I’ve been quite busy recently. But without further ado, here’s an Iterum oc! I’ll be posting more ocs when I have the time :)
Dawnheart - huge golden torbie molly with a white chest, paws, and blue eyes
Born under the aggressive reign of Beetlestar in ThunderClan, Dawnpaw never felt that she belonged in her clan. After conversing with some ShadowClan apprentices during her first gathering, Dawnpaw decided right then and there that she wanted to switch clans. After some initial shock, (and a mortified Beetlestar as he couldn’t do anything during a waking night) Dawnpaw said goodbye to her family and friends and followed the ShadowClan cats home. Initially, Dawnpaw struggled in this new environment. It was hard to take her superiors seriously when she towered over them, and her thick pelt and giant paws made her clumsy and slow in the marsh. Dawnpaw tried to be kind and respectful to her new clanmates, but often got into trouble as she challenged any orders or rules that went against her morality. More often than not, her mentor would have to chase after her as Dawnpaw instantly challenged any stray in the Aulmir that gave ShadowClan a funny look. It was also hard to train with her fellow apprentices when a single paw swipe would send them flying. Just when she was giving up hope, on one chilly winter night an elder asked in a creaky voice if Dawnpaw could shield her from the cold. Dawnpaw was happy to agree, and as more and more cats filed in camp after patrols, before long all the Shadowclan cats were snuggled up together as Dawnpaw served as a giant heater. (I remember asking about a giant cat being in Shadowclan and someone replied with the idea of a cat snuggle party, it was so darn cute I had to snatch that idea, props to anon for that idea) This served as a turning point for her, and Dawnpaw began to put in the work and effort to help her clan, like volunteering for patrols, teaching younger apprentices, and babysitting kittens whenever the queens wanted a break. It took a while, but as she earned her clanmates’ respect she learned self control and patience. Before long it was time for her warrior assessment, and she was chosen to help escort the elders across the territory. Unfortunately, that night the patrol was ambushed by Beetlestar and his rogue goons. Dawnpaw refused to back down and protected the elders before reinforcements could arrive, and even went toe to toe against the ThunderClan leader too. She managed to claw out his eye before ShadowClan patrols came to their rescue. Dawnpaw was severely injured from her wounds, but after a moon of rest and healing she was able to happily accept her new name of Dawnheart.
Say I know a friend in Thunderclan named Beetlefoot. And Beetlefoot was the only cat to hear the leader Palestar’s dying wish to change the deputy to Leopardface but Beetlefoot hates her so he told everyone that Palestar chose him to be deputy instead. Now Beetlefoot had to lie to everyone that he got approval from starclan. And also, the seer Littlenose was suspecting him so Littlenose tripped and fell and died of death berry poisoning.
Hypothetically, just how much trouble would Beetlefoot be in? time sensitive question -not Beetlefoot
Of course! Apologies for the long wait, I’ve been quite busy lately.
I have more lore posts about the bogwallows in my drafts, but I haven’t had the time to edit them, so I’ll give a summary of them along with some fun facts.
They are literally the definition of skrunkly. They would be perfect meme material with how weird and bug-eyed they look. Modern social media would go insane over them.
The current leader Sootstar has kitty asthma! Although he struggles with physical exertion and often rests in camp, no one can deny his skill and loyalty for his colony. Not only is he my favorite character, he’s a main character.
The patron animals of the bogwallow colony are the corvids! They love crows and ravens, and throughout history they have been protectors and guides. They are not to be hunted and instead treated with the same respect as a deity in the flesh.
Speaking of crows and ravens, to be a leader of the bogwallow colony one must convince a crow or a raven into willingly giving them one of their feathers. This is a chance for the leader’s personality to shine. Some use their voice, whether it is to sweet-talk them or to recite an epic with such vigor and grace that the bird surely will become impressed. Some leaders lead with their heart, giving them puzzles, riddles, prey, or little trinkets. Some share a memory of a lost loved one or proclaim their devotion and loyalty to their colony.
They have a special rank, the Sibyl, which is a seer who steps up to become leader. This practice was started years ago when the leader and deputy of the colony both died and there was no cat fit to rule, so the seer themselves took charge. This is done if the both the leader and deputy happen to die at the same time or are both deemed unfit to rule. Throughout history there has been some controversy regarding this, as cats argue if they really do need the leader position at all, but others argue back that having one cat singlehandedly talking to ancestors and leading a colony as a leader and deputy at the same time would be impossible. Plus, they would be more vulnerable to corruption if they have just one cat in complete power, but this is still a hot topic to this day.
The bogwallows have an intense respect for their elders. All colonies respect them, but the marsh cats take it to the next level. It’s a common joke throughout the territories that when a cat wants to retire, they want to be pampered like an elder in the Bogwallow colony. Because of this, older cats are expected to be treated with upmost respect. This leads to the taboo of having a young leader, which Sootstar has tried his best to overcome.
On a more morbid note, although it’s a well-kept secret, cats have died from falling into the geysers. That’s about as horrifying as being boiled alive in holy water. Yea that’s not a fun time when that happens. Cats spend weeks in intense fast and prayer, begging their ancestors for forgiveness. Cats are torn between grieving for their clanmate and wondering if it was the gods’ way of getting rid of the bad apple before they rot, even if the clanmate in question was a young apprentice.
Molt is going to be a shorter piece going over the background and drives of the main antagonist Spottedstar. I'm not going to write the series for a while, so I don't mind talking about the spoilers lol. As a warning it does contain horror elements.
According to merriam-webster, molt is 'to shed hair, feathers, shell, horns, or an outer layer' or to 'cast off (an outer covering)'. I chose this title because it's the main theme of the story. It symbolizes Spottedstar's transformation, as she goes from a proud cat who is willing to do anything for her colony to being an obsessive and blood-thirsty tyrant. Her mentality changes, the way her clanmates' perception of her changes, and at the end, her body changes to that of a beast to show what she's truly become. I thought that it would be appropriate to choose this word because in a sense she's slowly stripping away her humanity until she turns into a monster. She wants her colony to change for the better, to strip away their breezy and submissive lifestyles to change into cats who are powerful and feared. She strips away whose who have influence and authority until she's the one at top. But she keeps on taking and taking, and slowly but surely her clanmates can see her disguise strip away and see the hungry, obsessive monster that she is.
You know what they say about making a deal with the devil.
WIP for Houndstar. It takes me forever to draw and then color digitally so I have absolutely no idea when all oc refs will be done lmao I just like doing the writing portion better
But when his drinking, and lusting and his hunger for power
Became known to more and more people
The demands to do something about this outrageous man became louder and louder
HOUNDSTAR
[Redacted] Spottedkit, Spottedpaw, Spottedclaw ৷ 30 moons ৷ Mistmend leader ৷ molly
Huge calico molly with a battle-scarred pelt, a sliced ear, and yellow eyes
Spottedstar is known as one of the most skilled fighters in colony history, earning her title of ‘the hound’ from her ferocity and sheer power on the battlefield. Her intense gaze is enough to send cats scurrying, and to see her charging on the front lines leaves even the most courageous warriors frozen in fear. She is a well-known figure throughout the territory for being nearly unbeatable in battle and for the success of her political campaign, pushing territory lines and making alliances. She preaches to all that listen to her of her plan of a so-called new era of peace and prosperity. The public was shocked to find that she had survived her failed assassination and is now back with even more authority and rigor than ever before.
She is arguably the largest cat in the colonies, easily towering over most with her size only rivaled by the northern mountain giant cats. Her thick pelt shields her from enemy claws, and with her size she easily crushes her foes in battle. Her fur isn’t all fluff and is well-muscles from years of vigorous training. Like the giants of the north her ears and paws are tufted, and although her coat is covered head to toe in past battle-scars, she spots an iconic v-shaped scar on her left ear that nearly splits it in half. Other noticeable scars consist of claw-marks on her throat and belly.
Spottedstar is a cat of little words, they aren’t needed when a single swipe of her paw could send you flying. She instead chooses to sit back and observe, waiting patiently until the time is right to strike. She’s often seen in the shadows of her den, silently observing and watching for hours at a time. But when she does speak, her voice is full of strength and authority, passion for a strong and respected colony where no cat will ever be hungry again. She is often seen as a bloodthirsty brute to outsiders, but colony members know that she will do anything to ensure the survival of her colony, no matter the cost. Although she is emotionally distant and often aloof, colony members are assured by her protection, even if they can’t help but feel like they’re being watched.
History:
Little is known about Spottedstar’s history, as she doesn’t share any of it. But what cats do know is that she was found on the border as a young kitten and taken into the clan. Raised by colony matriarch Brambleflower, she was also adopted by the leader at the time, Lakestar. Seeing potential, Spottedclaw was additionally mentored under him when she became an apprentice. As a young cat she grew up in war and witnessed her colony members suffering firsthand as many starved or were killed in battle. She promised that when she grew older that her colony members would never suffer such horror again. With her skill for battle, it was no surprise that she earned the suffix -claw, and quickly rose to popularity as a warrior who was passionate about her colony. Spottedclaw did mentor an apprentice, Antpaw, but only for a short amount of time until she was unfortunately killed in battle against the Bleakridges. She was the first to expose Lakestar of his disloyalty, and personally lead the patrol that drove him out of the territory and to his death. From then on Spottedclaw awarded herself as leader and began to push borders and make deals for territory. It wasn’t long before a coup plotted to kill her, and the colony was shocked to see her lifeless body on the border. But to everyone’s surprise, by some miracle she arrived back at camp some moons later. With coup members punished or exiled, Spottedstar got to work ‘cleaning up the damage’, challenging foes and making her colony strong. Now Mistmend stands undefeated, and there are few who want to challenge them. But Spottedstar claims that she isn’t done yet, and her warriors march to the western fronts as she pushes for more and more territory.
Meowdy! I am finally back from my writer’s block void. I think for the longest time I was obsessed with making my posts ‘perfect’, if there was a single thing that I didn’t like I would get frustrated and give up on it. I also have a habit of comparing my works to other blogs as well. But from now on I have some cool ideas such as working on some character cards and asks to really flesh out the world more. I think this would help my inspiration flow. I’ll be posting some ocs and I’d love to answer asks for them! I’ve also been working on writing prompts for my ocs and they’ve helped a ton. So expect more of that! <333
I sincerely have no clue what it is but I am unmotivated to do literally anything
I’m frustrated with my drawings and unsatisfied with my writing
So uhhh. My steady stream of content might dip for a little bit until my brain returns to my head and I’m slammed with the desire to spam more stuff at y’all :D
I feel like I’m the only one who works with the traditional naming system xD ! I’m too indecisive on names so it really helps me a ton
At the very least names are super important with my warrior cats lol, much more emphasis on them than in the series, it’s supposed to act as a tether to the cat to the living world and keep bad spirits away, and speaking the ‘true’ names of demons or saints can offer a blessing or a curse !
I feel like every rewriter has come up at some point and went “ooh neat naming system! Let’s make it Mean something”
And I really like your take on it 👀 that’s super interesting
Sounds cool! I’ve changed the meanings behind the -fur, -stripe, and -pelt, but that’s kinda it lol. I am thinking of creating a new suffix tho! I’d love to hear your meanings!
Yeah pretty much only -fur has fallen out of use bc it typically refers to a warrior who doesn't stand out. Exceptions being when honorable/divine prefixes are used.
I have the name masterlist in my pinned post bc at some point I decided I wanted to give meanings to all the affixes

Rules: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it! And then tag as many people as you have wips.

Warriors rewrite
(I have more but these are the two I’m working on)
Hey, if you’re a warrior cats worldbuilding blog, please reblog this!
Nothing makes me happier than reading about cultures, lore, and characters people have written up for their warriors worlds, and I’m always interested in finding more blogs to read!
Deep in the Eastern marshes, the Bogwallow cats make their homes in the most undesirable territory, a wasteland of mud, muck, and wetland. However, their land is home to the colonies’ religious centers: the geysers. With easy access to their ancestors and deities, the Bogwallow cats are the most spiritual cats in the colonies. They claim to have an intense spiritual tie to their deities and claim to be able to see dark spirits such as ghosts, ghouls, and wraiths. Along with constant prayer and devotion, they take it upon themselves to chase them away to keep the balance of the ethereal plane and have a unique relationship with death.
Personality
Bogwallow cats are peculiar little creatures. As a whole, they are watchful and attentive cats, preferring to watch and pick up on little details rather than constantly chatter. They treat all with respect, as if it’s an honor to talk to them. They start all conversations with a bow and welcome, before giving you their full attention. Whatever the subject is, they’ll treat it as of utmost importance. They are cats who are polite and use their manners and tend to be very formal no matter the situation. In colony life, they honor devotion, perseverance and resourcefulness.
Each colony member is devoted to their jobs, friendships, and mates. You could be devoted to being the best hunter in the colony, be the best parent to your litter, or even devote yourself to religion. It doesn’t matter to them, as long as you put your soul into what you do. With a harsh and sometimes bleak life, it brings the colony closer and gives them a goal to achieve, something that they can look towards each day.
Life in the marshes is without a doubt a difficult one, and only cats who are determined and driven can endure it. Resources are low as well, and cats need to be clever and hone their talents for survival. The quick-witted cats are those who can get themselves out of traps, out-smart predators, and find different ways to get food.
Appearance
These cats are the oddest looking in the territories. Believed to be the descendants of the undead brought back to life, cats with pure Bogwallow blood are often mistaken for the undead. They have skeletal-like figures, bony limbs, bulging eyes, and rat-like tails akin to starving corpses. A human might compare them to Cornish Rexes, Selkirk rexes. Cats who aren’t pure blooded have skinner frames and shorter fur than the average cat, such as American short-hairs and American long-hairs. Some cats are a mixture between the Rex and American breeds. All marsh cats have webbed toes, wide eyes, and big ears so they can maneuver the marshes with ease and keep an eye out for any predators. Their fur is always dark, being mostly shades of gray, black, brown, and tortoiseshell. They have little pattering other than tabby or solid coloring. Cats are mostly short-haired, but cats with muddled ancestry tend to have longer fur. There is barely any white spotting to go around, and those that do have it just have small dashes of white on their chests or white toes and tail tips. Eyes tend to be amber, orange, and green.
Culture
The Bogwallow cats have developed a memento mori type of mindset. These cats see the circle of life as a sacred ritual, where life and death must be respected and celebrated. Along with the holy centers at their backdoor, their beliefs have been firmly rooted in their daily everyday lives. They recite hymns at specific times of day, call on saints on times of hardship, pray at every meal caught and eaten, and complete specific rituals to their deceased clan members.
