my human Moon now is looking like slasher Moon, I do not know how it happened rlly

for some reason I'm so ashamed and I'm afraid to look like I'm copying, but I haven't even used wyervan's arts as reference. They're just too much alike idk😭

I want to draw a human Moon, but my problem is that I can't identify his appearance and he constantly looks like someone else's existing version. I do not know what to do about it...

@wyervan, if i can ask you... have you ever had problems with copiers? Or maybe have you just seen artists who have very similar humanizations? How did you feel about that? I really love your slashers, but I really didn't want to make humanization look alike, It was an accident. Recently, people told me that they were similar and I noticed it💔

Hey~ thank you for @ ing. I hope i give you some peace of mind with what I’m about to say.

First off, even you or anybody had used my drawings for reference—in the vast majority of scenarios it doesn’t bother me at all (altho BEWARE my anatomy is frequently questionable 😭 😝). So no! I don’t have an issue with “copiers” or people who do have similar-looking designs whether it was their intention or not.

This is a fandom space and we’re all just trying to have fun here. I certainly would not say that the slashers are especially unique as far as human designs go, so i feel little sense of ownership over their specific physical traits. There are plenty of DCA characters (human and otherwise) with long noses, angular bodies. I know I’m not the first to do a Moon with vitiligo, Sun with… foofy hair. I got the freckles from @craykaycee ‘s sun, who’s an animatronic, but i thought they were so cute on a Sun that i had to include them on mine 🖤

Please do have some grace with yourself. We’re all working with the same source material. DCA designs looking similar is only natural. Besides, only you can make the things that you make. No two artists will ever do it exactly the same.
