Hello, World!

This is me tumbling down the rabbit hole again. My previous blog, Snowbunny’s Fantasies, got deleted, so I’ve made this one to follow and talk with people. I don’t expect to post much, so as not to anger the tumblr gods.

I’m a white girl with dark fantasies. Fantasies about racial differences and a society trying to heal the wounds of countless of years of injustice. I love talking about ideas, and I’m always on the lookout for intelligent people to inspire and get inspired by.

A word of warning, though: I’m in a loving relationship with my (white) boyfriend, who doesn’t need to know about the existence of this blog. My fantasies are fantasies only. I’m not looking to make them a reality, so don’t contact me if you want to meet up or want to offer what you think is “helpful advice” on how to make them real.

Age: Late twenties.

Appearance: Red hair, blue eyes, pale skin. Not particularly curvy.

Location: Northern Europe. To Americans, this means I’m on at weird times. Also, English isn’t my first language, so excuse grammar mistakes and quaint expressions you only hear in movies.

I know you already had such posters, but them and your blog also in such a situation encourage me to rather introduce one of my crushes I went to school with since 6th grade to a black friend or acquaintance rather than try anything with her myself. We go to the same gym too and there are aerobics, twerking classes nearby. She does the aerobics besides the gym and mentioned how she thought about wanting to join a further dance class. Would you think it's a good idea to slightly mention to her how it's a cool dance or style, in hopes that she tries these things to hopefully attract the right kind of attention? Because it would be weird mentioning to black guys I know straight off that look, there is a girl you can date and they know almost nothing of her interests or what she likes

I love getting these super detailed asks from anons asking for advice in real life situations. Why do they think my advice is worth following? I'm just some person on the internet.

Anyway, go ahead, random asker. Encourage your crush to take up twerking in the hope that she attracts a Black man. I don't really know either of you, but I'm sure that would be a joyful experience for everyone involved.

So I know this is mostly fantasy for you since you don't want to ruin your relationship (totally fair), but what is the closest you've gotten to actually doing it? An intimate conversation with a black man on here perhaps, or picking up a dating app to see what your options are, etc

I've talked to some Black men on here, but it's never actually gotten very intimate. I feel guilty when talking with them, and I think they can sense that and pull away.

I did talk to a white guy on here about his Black boxing buddy. Muscular, tattooed, a little rough around the edges. Not seeing anybody at the moment but definitely into white girls.

I would never go through with it, but at that moment I could definitely feel the temptation.

What is the retelling that you think white girls and black guys want and identify with most? Or the main narrative(s) as you see it?

If white guys try retelling the new racial dynamics in a way that makes them a key character ("I'm the one introducing white girls to Black men..."), what's a retelling that white girls and Black men identify with?

Speaking for myself, I must admit to liking the retelling where I'm instrumental to healing the scars of injustice.

My Black boyfriend comes home. He's frustrated from having to deal with racist white people all day. I greet him with a kiss and the promise of a back rub.

I wonder what his slave ancestors and my slave-owning ancestors would think of what he's going to do to me in the bedroom later.

What retelling do Black men identify with? Let me hear it.

How are you familiarising yourself with black/Afro culture?

It's shameful to admit, but I'm not really familiarizing myself with Black/Afro culture. Whatever little I know has come to me passively, like listening to R&B on the radio. It is not something I actively seek out.

The excuses come easily: I have a busy life, I don't have any Black friends to help me, yadda, yadda, yadda.

But the truth is that I just don't prioritize it.

That would change if I had a Black boyfriend.

He would scold me for not knowing enough about his culture.

He would make sure my Spotify was playing nothing but Black artists.

He would make sure that books like Ibram X. Kendi's How to be an Antiracist and Layla Saad's Me and White Supremacy were on my nightstand - and that I was reading them.

He would introduce me to Black women and encourage me to spend time with them. Even if it meant spending less time with my all-white friend group.

He would make sure I was in frequent attendance at Black Lives Matter rallies - in the back with the other white people.
