THE SPYMASTER OF FROST.
Born the eldest of a very long line of generals, commanders and spymasters, Artemis had known since infancy she would someday take the mantle from her father and mother -- and inherit one of their positions at court. So, from an early age she studied various important subjects, like languages, mathematics, strategy and even psychology of the High Fae -- all those things that may someday prove useful to her on the battlefield, should she come to serve as Winter's general.
But, the day came sooner than she'd thought.
When her father fell during one of his simple spying tasks when she was a mere child of two centuries, the spymaster's position remained vacated -- and the watchful eyes of the previous Págos liege turned to her mother, then to her. For they all felt the whisper of the shadows coating her like an impenetrable armor. A darkness burning behind her eyes, accentuating the cold silver of her eyes, the frost of the Court that borne her blood and bones.
And so she was called to serve -- and she obeyed.
Training under their then-general, she honed her stealth and hand-in-hand taught herself the language of shadows. A different kind of language that her parents and tutors had made her learn in her childhood. It was difficult, but not impossible, and she mastered it within mere fifty years.
At the age of 250, she became the youngest member of the Inner circle seen by the then-ruling Liege of Winter. Despite continuous offers to climb up ranks to a general or a commander ( given her three centuries of service and experience ), she refused each time. In truth, she finds herself soothed by the constant vanishing from court and countless shadowy missions she kept herself entangled in. It provided her with respite from the more tedious parts of her role.
Mingling with everyone else.

This curse...
Does not affect her childhood memories, as she's part of the Winter court, however... some things are muddied. Strange. She doesn't seem to remember the faces of the High Lords and Ladies of other courts -- she doesn't seem to recognize or see them in the faces of so many native Glátean fae.
She fails to recognize they are native to other courts.
