okay, crackpot theory with zero evidence about phatsa's dad.

from the preview, he seemingly knows about the omegaverse stuff and is distraught that his son got dragged into it. he wouldn't have known phatsa is an omega, because a test result would have stayed on his medical record. and phatsa only mentioned his dad in this episode, nothing about another parent.

so, entirely because i think it would be an interesting plot, what if his dad fell in love with an omega and they had phatsa together, only for the omega to be bitten by some random alpha and forced away from their partner and child. maybe phatsa's dad is a beta and his partner was someone who could get pregnant regardless of secondary gender. so his dad kept the entire omegaverse stuff a secret from his son, out of a mix of fear that phatsa would end up like his mom, and anger at the entire bloodline for ripping away his love. he hoped that phatsa would end up a beta and never need know anything about that world.

i just like the idea of exploring a pre-established relationship that got torn apart by the rules and lack of protective measures in this omegaverse world. and i think this would be a major blow to phatsa, haunted by the knowledge that his mother had the same experience as he did with being bitten, and how much that cost her.

I giggled a bit over Phatsa still wearing the shirt but then I got to thinking that Nakhun probably asked him to because seeing Phatsa in his shirt was driving him feral.

Loving the contrast between the two True Alphas we’re seeing in the show and I have a theory as to why they’re so different

Nakhun is very stereotypically Alpha, even if he’s not a jerk about it (most of the time). He presents himself like he’s in control of everything around him, he’s calm and confident, he uses his pheromones to establish dominance and he’s intensely protective of those around him. He’s an Alpha and he owns that, uses it, seems proud of it. He runs or at least helps run a business and provides for his family

Nakhin is not that. He’s still calm and protective, but he genuinely doesn’t seem to give much thought to his secondary gender beyond the basics and I don’t think we’ve seen him use his pheromones even once. He’s significantly more emotionally expressive and communicative and he doesn’t seem to have the same desire to be in control of everything around situation the way Nakhun does. He does work, but also seems to have a lot more free time than his brother

I think it’s likely that their father put a lot of pressure on Nakhun, as the first born True Alpha to be the perfect image of what he thinks an Alpha should be and because he isn’t the heir, Nakhin had a bit more freedom and was possibly even shielded from those expectations by Nakhun, purposefully or not

Either way, the end result is two very different outcomes to the label of True Alpha and I’m think it’s fascinating

in any case, if the moms knew each other back in the day, then it makes sense ongsa had the scoop on the devathitirat family. his mom probably told him all about how they're particular about who they marry

enter nakhin devathitirat talking about wanting to be his boyfriend. no wonder ongsa was initially so against being courted by and didn't trust nakhin's intentions

I'm wondering if Nakhun is not really comprehending how little Phatsa knows about secondary gender stuff because he's seeing it through the lens of class? Like he's said a couple times something along the lines of "wow you really don't get it". But I think he's still assuming that Phatsa knows at least the basics (he doesn't), just not how it works at an "elite" or "high society" level, being from Normal People World.

And while Phatsa isn't shy about asking questions, he definitely doesn't want to be thought of as stupid or ignorant in front of his obscenely rich upper crust new inlaws that he's getting to know. (Mom-in-law would be horrified if she knew how in the dark Phatsa truly is, but she also doesn't understand exactly why he's so sad doing Omega ThingsTM with her.) He's very much Eliza Doolittleing his way through.

The consequences of sheltering and keeping secrets from someone, especially kids, are always far greater than the knowledge of the thing itself. They'll be better equipped to deal with it if they are aware of it's existence.

If Phasta is pregnant like the preview suggests I feel like it would only make his mental state worse.

So far he's only minimally come to terms with how his body is changing and now suddenly he's growing a whole new human?! Not to mention the fact that in the preview Nakhun looked like the cat who got the cream in Phastas nest which - while being really cute - implies he's very happy with this turn of events. I can totally see Phasta now questioning if Nakhuns affection for him is because of the baby rather than because of Phasta. In a similar way to how he already feels unsteady because of how Nakhun treats the fact their soulmates as the only answer to anything.

Hopefully it would be the catalyst to Nakhun getting a few more brain cells of emotional intelligence and actually telling Phasta he cares about him for him.

Now that I'm thinking about it Phasta being pregnant would be another thing happening to his body unasked for that dramaticly changes his life in the span of maybe a month....not good.

We as the viewer have yet to see Phasta get any kind of sex-Ed about his new bodily functions (one of the reasons he's so confused) so even though he's been told in passing he can get pregnant, to me it feels weirdly similar to how Sheng Shaoyou was only given hints he could get pregnant and the truth only AFTER he was already pregnant. Pregnancy and parenthood are major things that effect the entirety of a person's life yet both Phasta and Shaoyou get thrown into it without even the knowledge its a possibility. From Phasta's personality I get the impression if he truly understood he could get pregnant he would demand condoms for sex or no sex at all.

Okay so here’s my theory. The douchebag dad is going to mistakenly kidnap Sangnuea, thinking he’s a pure omega. Keep him in a room of the house and station guards around him so he can’t leave. Intending to present him to Nakhin. But Sagnuea is in heat and will not have access to his medication. That’s where this scene comes from.

And instead of Nakhin, Naphitch is the one that finds Sangnuea. And Sanguea has met him before, recognizes his scent, trusts him. So he willingly submits himself to Naphitch while in the depths of his heat. That’s where this scene comes from.

stop the way you can feel the palpable loneliness clinging to phatsa. watching him get up after observing mom and ongsa chatting so familiarly and realising that everyone seems to have a place in this giant household except him. how before all of this he was just ready to start navigating the big world on his own and now he’s trapped and chained and so so lonely. maybe I’ll sob as a treat

Being soulmates is the worst thing that could have possibly happened to Nakhun and Phatsa because Nakhun believes that being soulmates overrules everything else and Phatsa doesn't give a fuck about it. Because soulmates is the label they got and now they have to build the relationship backwards and that's just killing them.

Nakhun assumes the soulmates will do the heavy lifting while Phatsa is drowning in instinct and feeling and pheromones and lust and he can't trust any of it. Unlike Nakhun who trusts it all implicitly.

They will just keep hurting each other and pushing each other away because one sees the relationship as already complete and the other sees it as a brand new beginning.

Poor Phatsa. He so badly wants reassurance that Nakhun loves him for him and sees him as special, and Nakhun just doesn't understand that perspective. He knows they're together for life now, so what do what-ifs matter?

It is interesting that Nakhin is so different from Nakhun, and I'm curious what sparked that difference. Because even if Nakhin did bond with an omega, you can tell he would still be reassuring them he'd love them regardless.
