Hearth God’s Cloth Event: Boss Tips
I haven’t written one of these in forever, so forgive me if I’m a little rusty with it. This post will be on the boss in the current event that started an hour ago.
Our gatekeeper for this particular event is a Fire Tiger Dream Eater. The boss has quite a bit of bulk and does hit pretty hard, but don’t worry, I’ll do my best to make this battle with the tiger as easy as possible for you.
As usual, the bosses are easier on Stages 1-5, but from Stages 6-8, they do get more challenging, especially on the 8th stage. I’m writing this post based on the 8th stage and to help those who want to take on the bosses on this stage.
At the start, the boss will automatically recolour your node area into three colours; Blue, Green and Yellow. In conjunction with these, he will paralyse one of your princes, for one turn.
The boss’s attribute will always be Cute.
He does around roughly ~4200+ HP damage on average.
Will always make two moves on his turn and is randomised between his attacks.
The image above shows what the node area will look like at the start of the round and a prince being paralysed.
Note: I placed Shin into my Sexy team to earn some extra bonus points. This is optional in case you’re worried about not dealing enough damage.
The image above shows the average damage the Fire Tiger Dream Eater will do.
Running a full Sexy team is highly recommended. Focusing on brute force is also highly recommended to finish off the battle quickly so gather your most offensive Sexy Princes that you have. Your leader should have a leader skill that boosts purple power by 50% or more.
In addition to building an offensive team, thanks to the update a while back, a guest unit’s leader skill will always activate, regardless of whether the guest is a friend unit or not. Take advantage of this and cycle through until you find this event’s variation of Inui as his leader skill will boost Sexy princes’ power by 80% (Sun) / 100% (Moon) as well as earning some boosted points as a bonus. The only drawback is that you have to go into battle with lower HP and recovery power so be careful.
The boss does a great deal of HP damage, so having a healer is always a good option. You don’t need more than one, but as long as the healer can heal more than half of your HP, then you will be fine. Always heal after you get attacked, either with your healer or recovery hearts.
On the topic of HP, as long as you have ~5000+ HP in total, you’ll be able to survive his first sets of attacks on you. Take care of your HP in total if you have Event Inui as your leader or guest leader (and if you have both, be extra careful).
There’s no real threat with paralysis in this event. But if you have Vasti or Time of a New Twilight Sakia, you can place them as leader to prevent paralysis. However since this post is meant to help beat the boss quickly, it’s completely optional and should be an option if paralysis is proving to be a detriment.
If there’s any more things I’ve discovered or new tips I’ve thought of, I’ll add them to the post, but I really hope this helps some people. Good luck with the event everyone!
