Trying something new: custom color amigurumi! I'm starting with foxes, if they get some attention I'll add other patterns.
I learned about paddle spinners, and just to try it out I made one with Tinkertoys. Long story short, it works extremely well, and my mom bought me a pound of fine merino wool to spin on it. It works so well I have no plans to buy a purpose-made spinner! I think a "real" one would be too heavy to be comfortable anyway, especially once a big cop has been built up.
Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
It’s very clear that you all have strong feelings about Tumblr and about this change. We hear you. The passion people have for how Tumblr works is one of the things that makes this place special.
As this rolls out over the next few days and you explore it, we’ll keep reading your replies and reblogs, so please keep sharing your questions, concerns, and ideas.
Your creativity has always been the heart of Tumblr, whether you’re the original poster or adding something brilliant in the reblogs, and nothing about this change is meant to limit that.
If you’d like to talk directly beyond the comments, leave a reply and we’ll follow up with as many of you as we can. We want to work with you to make Tumblr better.
You wanna talk huh? How about you explain to me precisely how this isn't a horrible blow to creators like me? Small creators like me have to fight and claw for every set of eyes on our work as it is. If someone makes a comment on my work, I want to know. I don't care how long the chain is, I want to know.
Speaking of contact, tell me, do you have the slightest idea how isolating it is to be chronically ill? It's a tremendous weight. This update deliberately creates an environment in which I get even less human contact that I already do, because each reblog cuts me off from the conversation.
This update will destroy information gathering, something that has been a core part of Tumblr. People share information across reblog chains all the time, a lot of important problems have been solved through community knowledge.
What it all comes down to is, you have no idea how we use Tumblr. You should stay out of things you don't understand.

Now my shop has capybaras because why not!
Considering opening a couple of slots for custom colored amigurumi. I need to take my cat to get his teeth cleaned, I noticed a grey spot when he yawned in my face yesterday so I'll need to drum up some extra cash for it. You'll be able to choose from any of my patterns, and any color combinations as long as I have the colors in my library (I have been collecting yarn for years, I probably have it)
Would anyone be interested in that?

There are bats in my Etsy shop!
I made Rouge the bat
Is anyone going to buy these opossums? I dunno, but I keep making them and they'll be in the shop soon. I also made a bat.

The ice is finally melting and my store is open again! The usual made-to-order pins are there of course, and the amigurumi critters are restocked since I made a bunch of them while iced in. :P Gonna be adding opossums soon too.
The ice made it so I couldn't make any sales for two weeks, so I'm quite behind. Definitely only buy if you really want something, but spreading this post around would help get some traffic in and a few sales to get me back to normal!
I don't know why Tumblr isn't inlining the link. Functional webbed site.
Amigurumi horses are back in stock! You'll also soon be able to make your own, as I've written the pattern and it's currently in testing.
It's open now! The ice is finally clearing and the post office is open!
I recently crossgraded from a Silhouette Cameo 3 to a Cricut Explore 4, because the Cameo is pretty weak at cutting and the Explore can cut any kind of shrink plastic I throw at it.
But the software. It's not just the worst graphics software I've ever used, it's the worst software I've ever used period. And that's saying something when you consider I've been using computers for nearly four decades, and used them creatively for about three. I go back to MS-DOS, baby. One time I used a 3D renderer that ran from the command prompt, no GUI at all. Nothing compares to the horror that is Cricut Design Space.
I'll probably go on a rant about it when I have time. Right now I'm struggling to get my printer to not spray ink all over and make sure to keep the print inside the area the Cricut can see since it doesn't allow you to specify custom material sizes.
An assortment of critters I made yesterday and today: hippogriff, snake, amphiptere, and hippocampus. I gave the snake to my mom because she really liked it. I think she liked that snake more than anything else I've crocheted!
I made the Giant Purple Griffin, but tiny. For some reason.
You can now choose a unicorn, pegasus, or alicorn from my random draw amigurumi horses! Not limited to fantasy colors of course, anyone can be anything.
Thinkin bout adding a unicorn/pegasus/alicorn option to my random horse amigurumi listing. It will cost extra of course but I kinda want the option to be there.
I've talked about HPP here before, but I haven't talked about treatment and goals. When talking to my doctor about it, I mentioned DDR and how I felt that wasn't a reasonable goal, that I'd be happy just not dealing with paralyzing exhaustion anymore. I can't wait to show him this video.
Some more Known horses, in order: Black Beauty, Gold City, Gold Ship, Daiwa Scarlet, Aston Machan, and Vodka
