Afternoon Tea | #TeamQueen
headsxwillroll:
Late. Late for a very important date Where was that infernal white rabbit when she needed him? If her head wasnât attached to her neck she might have very well lost that too. Dressed and now pleasantly ready to face the world, Red made her mad dash toward their meeting place. Eira wasnât going to be happy, but that made two of them. She was late for tea and that was simply unacceptable. She had an image to keep and she wouldnât let something a silly as finding matching shoes stop her. She was the Red Queen after all. As regeal as she could be, wonderlandian habits were hard to break.
Sheepishly she sunk into the seat across the other woman and fought the eye roll. âYouâre no fool. I see no fools hat upon your head.â She muttered to the dramatics of it. âIâm only running late but a hare, donât be so dramatic.â Even as she said she gluped to catch her breath. âPlus without me, luv, no one else would put up with your youness.â Red grinned widely. âDid you order?â
Eira flipped her hair over her shoulder, allowing a genuine smile to grace her features at Redâs words. âI have absolutely no idea what youâre talking about. Iâm an absolute delight to any and all who know me. Just ask my assistants,â She chuckled softly, leaning back comfortably in her chair. Red was the only person in the community that Eira had managed to make a connection with, much to the surprise of everyone else. She enjoyed the peculiar womanâs company though sheâd never admit it aloud. With Red, Eira was able to let her guard down. Slightly.
She shook her head at Redâs question, tapping her perfectly manicured nails against the menu, âNo not yet. Tea isnât my forte so I thought I would wait for you to give me a recommendation. You know how I feel about leaf water but Iâm hoping the sandwiches will be delicious at least.âÂ

Alley sat a little straighter in her chair. The presence that seemed to elude from the woman across the counter from her sent a shiver down her spine. She feared what the other might do with the books. They were like scared heirlooms that held her world together. Slender fingers closed the book, standing with the same smile etched into her features. âIs there a preference of genre they are?â She moved slowly around the wooden counter, waiting for the other to answer before starting down the middle aisle towards the back.Â
Eira shook her head at the question, âNo, no preference really. Just... old looking. Books that look like they belong on the shelf of a dusty, ancient library.â She cast a quick glance around the store, âWell... more dusty, I suppose.â She added dryly watching the girl walk down one of the aisles with interest. âFifty would probably suffice though Iâve no idea what weâd do with them afterwards.... Donate them maybe.â She mused aloud more so to herself before following after the girl. âHey, have you ever considered modelling?â

~ Â After years of repressing her magic in order to fit in among the Mundane world, Eiraâs powers are close to non-existent. The only people aware of this are the higher ups in the community. The fact that she has lost her magic is slowly killing her on the inside. With violent crimes on the rise, Eira fears the worst. The voice in her head is growing stronger with every passing day and she is determined to do whatever it takes to get her powers back.
Alley felt like the mundane world was doing nothing but drag her further down a rabbit hole she didnât want to be in. The young blonde woman sat idly behind the counter, a book opened at the page she had read ten times now to bypass her shift. Soft azure hues would glance up at the clock. A soft sigh parted her lips and she felt the tug into a part of her that she welcomed freely. Seconds from slipping away she heard the chim when the front door opened and a customer saunter in.Â
Not pleased with this, she still let a small smile seep into her soft features. âWelcome to Grimmâs. Anything I can help you with today?âÂ
Eira threw open the taxi door, barely glancing at the blubbering woman inside. âWhen I return to the office, your things had better be packed. If not, I will personally escort you out. Good day, Elizabeth.â
âItâs Shan-â Eira slammed the door in her ex-assistantâs face. She pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed heavily. How hard is it to find books for a goddamn photo shoot? She thought to herself, shaking her head at the girlâs incompetence. Eira truly had to do everything to ensure things got done. She walked the next few blocks back into the fable community. Grimmâs was the only bookstore she could think of, not that she had ever set a foot inside before today. It was an... eclectic little shop. They were sure to have exactly what she needed. Spotting the sign, she entered the building, doing her best to not scrunch up her nose at the musty smell. She strolled up to the counter, giving the blonde before her a quick once over before answering. âI need the oldest looking books you have available. All of them.â

Ding.
Ding.
Ding.
Eira threw her phone an irritated glance before picking up the device, scanning through the messages. Like clockwork, the office seemed to fall to pieces any time the blonde dared to take the afternoon off. If it were up to her, Eira would fire the whole lot of them but alas. She muted her phone before placing it back down on the table, returning her gaze to the menu before her. She had no idea why she had agreed to come here - she didnât even like tea. It didnât help matters that her companion was late. Again. Not for the first time, Eira contemplated just how lucky Red was that Eira had a soft spot for her. If this were anyone else, she would have eviscerated them. Finally hearing the sound of hurried steps behind her, she didnât even look up as Red sat down. âYou know, one of these days, Iâm not going to show up at all. Then you would be the one sitting alone like a fool for hours on end.â

âAh it was colder than ice; it penetrated his very heart. â
â Â BASICS Â â
NAME: The Snow Queen AGE: Twenty-eight OCCUPATION: Business Marketer [ negotiable ] STORY: The Snow Queen â IN SHORT  â having worked her way up into one of the top business companies the Snow Queen has yet to put her past behind her. Late at night, The Snow Queen is sure she can feel the pull of the Oppunger and perhaps sheâs not as free as she wants to be. Only time will tell just what kind of residue is left and just what effect that will have.
+Â hauntingly beautiful, intelligent, persistent
-Â cold, ruthless, intimidating
â HISTORY  â Winter personified, the Snow Queen is not someone who usually makes friends. It was a lonely existence. Living alone in her ice castle the Snow Queen was not known to be welcoming of intruders. Until Kai. The child who already had half a frozen heart, due to getting mirror shards in his eye, seemed to be the best option. With just a kiss that went right to his half-frozen heart, the Snow Queen had a companion. One without feelings or emotions, that just was. But even that didnât last. Rescued by his friend the boy was whisked away. Alone once more, the Snow Queen felt her icy demeanor grew harder and colder. Tasked with the job of bringing the seasons, The Snow Queen alongside the other season witches rotated throughout the lands. Like clockwork, they rotated from their castles to the other. Until Jack Horner came into her life. Falling ill the first time in years, The Snow Queen bestowed her powers to Jack on the promise heâd return them. Developing feelings was not her strongest point. She trusted him. When it turned out that Jack had no intentions of giving them back, Jack Horner becameJack Frost. Taking all of the other seasonâs witches to strip the boy of her powers, The Snow Queenâs already cold heart had frozen over yet again. With her powers back, The Snow Queenâs winters were harsher, colder and crueler.Â
Years passed and the Snow Queenâs heart grew worse. Emotional and cold she forgot exactly what feelings were. But things were only going to grow worse. When the Oppunger came to the lands to conquer, neither of the season witches was strong enough to defeat him. Try as she might the Snow Queen was outmatched and outnumbered. Managing to strike a deal with the conquered, The Snow Queen dutifully agreed to serve in exchange for her world being spared. While the others were busy fleeing, the Snow Queen was busy taking over the lands, leading the charge and using those she conquered for her benefit. But when it became clear she was being used, dosed with a spell, The Snow Queen sought her revenge. Destroying several encampments of the Oppungerâs armies, the Snow Queen left frost and barren tundras in her wake as she made her way to the mundane world. Now a new arrival, the Snow Queen isnât sure where she fits in and still after breaking the spell isnât quite sure the pull to the Oppunger is free. At times she almost swears she can hear his voice in her head. But sheâs determined to make this new world work, regardless of what side sheâs on or not on. But her heart is hardly the beating thing it was and that changed her. For better or for worse. Finding herself a job, the Snow Queen took her ruthless nature and applied to into marketing the fable community and businesses. itâs a dog eat dog world after all.
