Once again Avatar posting because I've never seen it pointed out how in S1E15 when they go ice dodging and they're going up against some rocks that they can't sail through (not without difficulty), Bato tells them to turn around and find another way, that Sokka (and the rest) have already proven themselves, that due to the attempted genocide (and successful cultural genocide) of the south Bato has likely never seen their ships how they could have traditionally been.

Noone can remember a time where the southern tribe had benders, where they had an actual bending culture. Where the hunts and the fishing trips and the foraging in the tundra and literally everything was accompanied by waterbenders. Throwing up snow or ice to block the route of an animal, gathering up fish and safely navigating sudden rapids, clearing and creating paths to local flora and strengthening ice sheets so noone fell in.

Sokka is the first of the Southern Water Tribe to relearn how to sail with a bender, to trust that they can navigate far beyond the capabilities of a rudder should they need to.

Katara brought bending back to the South, and Sokka matched it every step of the way (well,,,,, every step of the way post Kyoshi lmao) and I'm so,,,

I forgot just how autistic I am about this damn show

Hot Avatar Summer ☀️🍃 Ya'll I am so emotional about this show from over a decade ago. I was lucky enough to grab tickets to #AvatarAang last night in NYC after managing to avoid spoilers from the absolute criminal leak. Man seeing genuine Avatar on the big screen is game changing I could not be more thrilled with the film. This show means so much to me, and the movie genuinely felt like the og show.

Okay I've seen a lot of people talk about ASH but there's some things I want to yap about

A lot of people seem to genuinely believe that Korra 1. Destroyed the world, and 2. Is going to be depicted as being in the wrong for doing that

I don't think this is at all how Seven Havens will present this information!!!

At the current moment, it seems that the concept of Korra destroying the world is propaganda. There's absolutely no way Korra would let the world fall, it's 100% more likely that anti-Avatar propaganda is being spread throughout the world. Ellora is an incredibly closed-off city plagued by wars, famine, and plague. The government likely needed someone to blame and found Korra was an easy target. I imagine she either died trying to save the world, or something went terribly wrong. At some point during the show, I 100% think it's going to be revealed that she didn't do anything wrong.

Y'all have GOTTA stop assuming it's gonna be any other way before the show has even begun to air. Pavi and Nisha are very exciting main characters, the story that's being crafted for them seems amazing, and I'm excited to see more of what Korra got up to later in her life. Anti-Korra propaganda is no different than the anti-Aang propaganda that was spread in the Fire Nation in ATLA, which was depicted as blatantly wrong to us as viewers. It's not new for people in the Avatar universe to hate the avatar. It's our job as viewers to understand that the show is telling us "These people are wrong"
