“Is it wrong to not want people to know who you are?” she questioned back. “I am here because i wish to be- call it a curiosity if you will about humans. i see much of them through the flow of time but they are hard to understand. and so- i am here to perhaps find out more about such things- to perhaps help in not making the past once more repeat itself” she spoke, her hands folded in her lap. Etro gazed at the blond man- her face was blank as she did so however- she was careful.

She had little doubt now that the man was going to ask things that she couldn’t quite answer. not with things that the man could have probably understood anyways. “Im guessing- you have questions” she voiced. “Perhaps i can answer a few for your peace of mind?”

Etro was right. Snow did have questions; the answers to which would probably decide on his opinion of the goddess standing before him. The main issue was, what to start with? There seemed like there was so much he had yet to understand.

He supposed that they should probably start with what caused him to lose his beloved. "Serah's visions - why did you burden her with them if they were going to lead to her death?" As the blond hadn't been with her for the majority of her journey, he was unsure of how they benefited Serah in any way and therefore in Snow's mind, they were merely what he said them to be. A burden. "Why her?" A burden that Snow would happily had carried if it were to spare Serah from her fate.

Lightning would probably know about Serah's death, meaning that this was probably an alternate one. "Well it's been around 3 years since we defeated Dysley; you could have at least dropped by to say hello!"

Salve of love

What was going on? Snow wasn’t sure where this emotion was coming from…Up until now, he’d never thought of Riku like this. How could he? He barely knew the man, and considering their respective relationships with Serah, something like this was so unlikely to come about. But it did.

Snow found himself overcome by an urge to see Riku’s face, to hear his voice…He was in love. He could just tell. However, he could also tell that this wasn’t natural; that it was by the power of a greyface. This fact was made more obvious by the urge the blonde man had to…serve Riku in any way the latter desired. Snow made his way over to the younger man’s home and knocked on the door, softly so as not to awake Aroure if she was asleep but loudly enough so that Riku would be able to hear if he was in.

A knock on the door brought the silver haired young man out of his reverie. He had been imagining a wide white sand beach and warm turquiose waters that just begged him to jump in even with his clothes on. Strangely enough of all people he was there with Snow as the larger man- what- slathered sunscreen on his pale back.

The Hell?

Didn’t matter that vision was now gone and he stood up and limped over to the door, turning the nob and swinging it open with one fluid motion. Snow stood there before him. Teal eyes rolled around inside his head.

“State your reason for bothering me.”

There he was.

Snow couldn't utter a word at first, the newly emerged emotion taking hold of him once he gazed upon Riku's face. What was happening to him? He hadn't felt like this since he'd been with Serah. Why did it feel like he was falling for this man?

He cleared his throat. "I was wondering if you needed some help with anything. You know, since you're busy with Aroure." He wanted to help Riku out in any manner he could - any wish of the silver-haired man's would be Snow's command. It couldn't be any simpler. Except...

Love was complicated, if this was what he was experiencing. Snow remembered he said he would do anything for the woman who had been his fiancee but never had he had such an urge to serve her. Why Riku?

she watched him closely as the thought. and as he spoke her name she gave the barest of nods, “That is indeed my name- and who I am.”

the goddess didn’t know what the man’s reaction to knowing who she was would be- after all it was a possibility that he could have been one who blamed her for everything that had happened. Humans were often unpredictable as such.

Snow was still. He’d only said that name because nobody else came to mind; he’d hardly expected her for her to confirm it! For a moment he believed she was joking but the look on her face made it clear that that was not the case.

He wasn’t sure quite how to react to this - why would such a deity be there, in what appeared to be human form much less? “You really are the goddess, aren’t you?” It wasn’t so much of a question than a statement.

The goddess nodded- “I am,” she paused- his reaction was hard to judge. perhaps she shouldn’t have played such a game with one of her own- it was a dangerous thing. “I am the goddess” she continued after a moment. eyes still locked onto him.

she looked up- sighing softly at the rain that still fell. perhaps she should go- leave the man to his peace- and hope that he didn’t not tell everyone that she was wondering around here- It would be hard to learn from human’s if they knew who she was- they would shy away or act differently.

"Why are you here, and why did you hide who you were at first?" True when she spoke her name the deity confirmed her identity but why the hesitation if she was to reveal herself anyway? All it could potentially achieve was making Snow mistrust Etro and he somehow doubted that this was what she aimed to do.

He wasn't quite sure what his opinion of the goddess was anyway. Where was she when the one he loved with all his heart died? A better question was, why did she give her that 'gift' in the first place? In Snow's eyes, it was more of a curse if it had led to Serah's death.

On the other hand, perhaps he shouldn't be so quick to judge - they might have all been stuck in crystal now. Though Snow did not now the details, it seemed unlikely that him and his companions would have escaped their fates so easily. It would make sense if there was a third party...
