Since I last posted to this tumblr, I have lost every single rat previously posted, except for Junkrat and Roadhog. I have actually lost at least 4 or 5 more than what I had posted here.
But, I have a new generation now. I had a litter of rattles, and have procured several more (most of which my mum and brother gifted to me).
My original 8; Blueberry, Meelo, Venus, Asami, Poki, Momo, Oogie and Zero. Momo was the oldest, she made it to 2 years and 11 months. I still miss Blueberry, my heart rat, an unbelievable amount. It’s approaching 2 years since I lost her and my heart still aches.
Then there was Angelo, Jeremy, Dexter, Foxy and Sir Humpsalot. Dexter was the longest living from those boys, he made it to 2 years 10 months.
Mei, Appa, Tracer and Alice. Zarya and Phoebe also passed. Bumi, Roku and Señor Nibbles.
Twirlson Tilty McWhirligig, a rescue with a permanent head tilt that I adored, passed away unexpectedly this year. He was about 2.5 years old, I miss his goofy little face.
I got a pregnant mama by surprise, one of the rats I got her with passed within 24 hours of having them; Pingu. One of the babies from the litter Queenie (mama) had also passed away at about three weeks old; Ember. Another from the litter, Sundae, had to be PTS a few weeks ago due to a large tumour.
Now my current groups consist of 3 cages. One with Queenie and her remaining daughters; Scout, Kiwi, Piccolo and Wednesday Rattums. And a lady we got who had been incorrectly sexed; Ratchel.
A group of boys, mostly Queenie sons. Babadook, Pea-body, Trico, Pabu and Spud. Twirlson was in this cage along with some others; Atlas, Ratchels correctly sexed brother. Some newer rats are also amongst my boys; Dahmer (pictured), Teddy, Kemper and Ottis. Kemper bit me and I had to get a tetanus shot, which was unpleasant.
The other group has my current oldies from what I consider my second generation of rats; Roadhog and Junkrat. There’s also Lady Bean (Beanie) and Vermillion Von Crumb (Vee) who have been around a while. Cosmo and Peach, two rats my little brothers teacher wanted to rehome because she didn’t have the time and they weren’t very handleable; they are now giant suckers for attention. Actual attention whores. Then a bunch of energetic babies; Luna, Lumi, Roux, Florence (Flora) and Opal.
So that’s where I am. I basically have a whole new mischief now, a third generation, and they’re all just as lovely and photogenic as my past rattos.
There wasn’t much point to this, I just logged onto tumblr and saw how many people had seen my Rats In Hats post, and figured I’d give an update.
