f - extreme mess

The tree pollen’s been fucking me up lately. I’m supposed to be asleep right now, but my nose tickles so much and I can’t stop sneezing, it’s keeping me up. Even without my allergies, I probably wouldn’t have slept, but I needed to do something with these allergies!

An unbelievable fit from this morning right before I got into the shower. Did not expect to get as worked up as I did, but the relentlessness of it and how helpless I was feeling really, really got me going 🥵🔥🤧

1. When you hear me say "fuck", that's the moment I realize:

✨ I was turning myself on big time

✨ I was either getting sick or I had unlocked a new level of allergy-ridden "misery"

Whether or not I'm getting sick is still TBD, but I think I'm in the clear. My sneezes here sound like I'm getting sick, but I was just in pollen-hell so I may simply need a day to calm down now that I'm home. Either way, “fuck.” 2. When you hear me laugh under my breath later on, it's because my coworker texted me "Emi what the actual f” since he was in the adjoining room and I started sneezing almost immediately after entering the bathroom.

ive been obsessed with the idea of a nose being visibly full, but not quite to the point of running.

The incessant buzzing in their nose grew more and more noticeable. A tickle and a growing redness that radiated from the center of their face.

With quivering lips and scrunched eyes, a groan is let out.

Clear liquid trickled down their philtrum, aggravating the already trembling nostrils. They flared widely, gearing up to let out a sneeze.

Those hands did everything they could to try and quell the unbearable itch.

They began with assigning a finger to the underside of the nose, swiping back and forth with no success. Then knuckles were placed on the outside of the nostril, kneading rapidly - the nose clicked with each rub in disagreement. In a hurry, both hands raised to scrub up and down furiously as the need to sneeze grew stronger. Snot lined nostrils squelched, warning of incoming cleanup.

"hhhih...."

In a last ditch effort, the nose was clamped tightly between thumb and index finger. Red nostrils pushed against damp fingers.

"hih-Eistchh.."

Hands were showered in a spray of spit. Lowering, a rope of snot clung to the fingers. Eyes drooped down in disgust at the mess the nose made. Thin, clear liquid now more opaque and thick fell over the quivering upper lip as a sharp breath was taken.

"hIH"

They didn't reach the nose in time. Stalactites hung from each nostril as the mouth let out a congested "ugghh".

Glossy eyes surveyed the room to realise they were out of tissues...

you know when noses are like... visibly stuffed up? swollen and red, constantly twitching with wet, unproductive sniffles. nostrils flaring at the incessant, looming threat of a sneeze. noses that are just absolutely filled to the brim with cold, to the point where it looks like it aches.

Sorry your allergies are giving you so much trouble! As for suggestions, some holdback attempts would be fun (especially if that's a video but I totally get it if you don't want to)

someone trying to stave off a sneeze, but every effort they take backfires terribly.

they try to press a finger under their nose? well, their nose won't stop running - they can feel the dampness on their finger already, and that really tiiihckles...

they blow their nose? well, that seems to clear their congestion a little, but now that they can properly breathe again, their next breath only seems to expose them more to whatever allergen/irritant is present...

if they try to go inside? their tickle in their nose increases tenfold... this puzzles them until they realize - how long has it been since this room has been dusted?

or outside? it's springtime, and the trees are fully in bloom, and the slightest glance at the sun is enough to send their breath into another sharp, ticklish hitch...

they try to rub their nose? oh, but their fingers have just managed to graze the most sensitive part of it, worsening the tickle tenfold. what started off as a small, distracting tickle has become an intense, fiercely irritating - hHiiiH!

(not to mention, all this holding back is practically enough to guarantee that when they do finally sneeze - when the tickle they've denied themself relief from for so long finally has its chance to surface, it will be quite the display)
