Alastor is no stranger to working through or ignoring illness, often because he has no other choice or doesn't feel like bothering others with what he considers weakness, but he still generally tries to care for himself on his own terms, and he finds himself increasingly concerned about Vincent's either inability or unwillingness to do that. Like Vincent will work through or ignore illness with zero self care, will even seem confused or insulted about the idea that he would take measures to feel better. He may accept or even seek out Alastor's care, if it means attention from Al, and he can certainly whine and complain pathetically, but he often has an unusually strong pull towards what Al considers cruel self denile, especially if it emasculates him in some way.
