Hi-hi, I’m the mod (Parker from @pushingpesticides) and this is a rebranded Percy Jackson OC account because I realized that there’s only so many people in that community and that it’s honestly not for me.

Then I remembered my idea of Azul Ashengrotto having an emo baby brother (based on Ursula’s human form, Vanessa) who was so undeniably cringefail that he can’t help but flinch a little when he has to say that he is, in fact, related to him. Thusly, this account was born.

UNIQUE MAGIC: Poor Unfortunate Souls – In a very similar vein to his older brother, Zarco can steal another person’s Unique Magic. However, in Zarco’s case, it’s much more personal and the method is the same across the board— when the caster says their spell’s name aloud, he literally steals their voice away and stores it in his enchanted nautilus earring. Until he uses the victim’s Unique Magic, they are incapable of speaking or performing any kind of magic.

BACKSTORY: An attempted fix-it baby who fixed absolutely nothing. Though not treated any differently for how he came into the world, Zarco feels like he has to live up to the expectations imposed on him— that being the expectation that he is the one who can solve all sorts of problems. Thusly he takes on a role not unlike the Sea Witch’s in the story of The Little Mermaid.

PERSONALITY: Scrappy and rebellious to a fault with a deep-seated need to both self-serve and to help other people in whatever way he can, most typically with spells and various potions. Bombastic and dramatic, many traits lifted directly from the public-facing personas of John Waters and Divine (who was also the main inspiration behind the design of Ursula).

IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIPS:

Azul Ashengrotto – Zarco’s dearly beloved older brother, who he views as a bit of a tool for his overtly androcentric business practices but still admires.

Ruggie Bucchi – Doesn’t trust him as far as he can throw him when it comes to money and food, but sees him as a close friend regardless. By and large because they both deeply value loyalty.

Rook Hunt – “We are both cringe and free.”
