At the very least the profits from the sea bed auctions should all be used for the benefit of the public. Buckingham Palace should be renovated but used only on state occasions by the monarch. I believe Charles prefers to live in Clarence House anyway. The rest of the time a trust should organise its opening to the public, for most of the year, and the Crown benefit from the ticket sales. If the government (our taxes) pay for the renovation then the tax payer should benefit from the income.

Public money helps support the Royal Family yet discussion about the RF and any matters which ‘reflect’ on them is prevented in Parliament. The definition of Royal Family is also very wide so that discussion is very restricted.

There is no transparency about how much the Royal Family costs Britain to maintain. What is owned by the Windsor family personally, what belongs to the position as Head of State? How much does their security cost? What is their private income from land and businesses?

NHS Trust paying millions to King’s estate forced into sweeping job cuts

An NHS Trust which has been contributing tens of millions of pounds to the King's coffers has been forced to make sweeping job cuts.
