Scarab the Eridian!

They are an ecologist! Their carapace is composed of mostly lazurite, but they have decorative embellishments made of opal atop their shoulders and vents. They were always quite smooth and symmetrical, unlike most Eridians with rugged exteriors. Upon Grace’s arrival and the expansion of knowledge to include Earth, Scarab began to study the ecology of Earth. They fell in love with beetles, in particular, and requested Savior Grace to provide them a related Earth-name. Scarab underwent a few aesthetic modifications to resemble a beetle themself.

Sketch page "drawn" by Ryland Grace, based on a fic I'm working on. The hyperfixation is hitting so hard. I estimated Rocky's size based on shots of Ryan Gosling sitting next to him. I also had a ruler held up to my body for size comparison. Hopefully I approximated it acceptably. I wish we had the Rocky puppet measurements.

UUUUHHHHHHHHGGGGGG I have been hyperfixated on Project Hail Mary for weeks. I cannot believe I read the book for the first time this year! I should have read it sooner! I read the book before watching the movie. What an experience! I cannot express how much I love these characters.

I think I downloaded the wrong Silksong DLC...

Progress pics! This piece was so fun to paint and inspired by the Silksong and Subnautica crossover art I've been seeing since the Sea of Sorrows announcement. Subnautica is one of my favorite games, like Hollow Knight, so it's been a treat to see what artists create!
