What would've happened if Wind Archer found out about Fire Spirit's chronic illness? Before everything went downhill

surprise surprise i actually have sort of thought about this

Wind Archer would have to find through connecting the dots and prolly with a situation where Fire Spirit overestimates herself and while the two are walking together somewhere, Fire Spirit realizes she desperately needs to stop to sit and despite her best efforts at hiding it, Wind Archer notices and they end up stopping.

Though Wind Archer knows something is wrong and asks Fire Spirit about it, Fire Spirit just denies, denies, denies. After all, she’s managed to hide it for this long, she can’t let this one slip up screw it all up. Too bad Wind Archer cares too much to look past her friend who’s clearly struggling alone with something, she continues prying until at some point Fire Spirit does tell her.

After that it takes a lot more work between the two of them before for Fire Spirit to stop feeling like Wind Archer is pitying and looking down in her, and for Fire Spirit to finally accept using accommodations for her day to day life

With this what-if, we can also go down aus of an au where mt never dies and they graduate happily and find careers, Wind Archer working somewhere in the animal and environment field and Fire Spirit becoming like a??? web designer or somethihg i dont actually know i havent thought very hard about this💀 and they fall in love and live happily

or mt still dies and Wind Archer still becomes nr, where Fire Spirit tries to get leads on her friend’s disappearance but is unsuccessful until they meet years later, and Fire Spirit has to face what her old friend has become. I’m not big of a fs x nr shipper so i don’t have much for this route LMAOO sorry guys you gotta imagine it yourselves

Here’s Fire Spirit and Wind Archer when they were roommates in college

Fire Spirit struggles with chronic health issues and actively hides it since she doesn’t want to appear lesser or weaker, so she ends up neglecting herself far more than she should, which ends up catching up to her and is what leads her to dropping out. Wind Archer never finds out about this, where Fire Spirit often just pretends she’s slacking off or just doesn’t care about school whenever she’s struggling.

Wind Archer on the other hand originally wanted to work with Millennial Tree in his private investigation firm or whatever, but per mt’s request to explore her options a bit more before setting her future in stone, she ends up studying environmental sciences in college where she’s roommates with Fire Spirit. A year or two into her studies though, she gets a call from home about emergency family business and goes back home only to find Millennial Tree murdered and Pomegranate waiting for her. (featuring my bum ass school doodle)

Pomegranate ends up taking Wind Archer under her wing to train her into assassin whether because she thought turning the Millennial Tree’s protégé into a killer was the ultimate mockery of him or because she saw great potential in Wind Archer, which leads to wa becoming Night Raven. It’s also like soon after wa leaves that fs drops out and basically becomes loa, and they both never find out what happened to the other……. until they meet again way later where they’re both so changed they barely recognize each other woahh…. 🤫🤫

I have more thoughts for night raven but i think i’ll make a separate post for that LMAOO
