Ventus laughed at how he quoted Roxas. The blond boy who looked exactly like he did himself when he was younger. They assumed they were identical due to Ventus’ heart residing within Sora’s but that was still just a thought. Not that it mattered; Ventus was Ventus and Roxas was Roxas. Similar but not the same.
“Really? So that’s why I feel so at home here.“ Ventus smiled, looking up, checking the lights that guided them through the town, the soothing music that came from the nearest restaurant. The voices of people who lived in there. It all felt like home… Because he’d been there before.
Sora had given him so much. He wasn’t sure he’d ever be able to thank him enough.
Then the boy spoke of the people in masks and he chuckled.
“Wait, what?” Only Sora would turn ‘strange people’ into a quest like this. “Look for them? Why?” Maybe there was a circus in town. Maybe some people just liked wearing masks. Maybe…
Ventus chuckled again and shook his head. Perhaps he was getting bored of just walking around?
His gaze went to Ventus for a while as he spoke about ‘feeling at home’ in this town. He almost forgot that the other had been with him through most of his adventures. Sora wondered what it felt like, seeing the world through someone else’s eyes. Despite his curiosity and urge to ask, however, he thought it would be best to ask about it in another time.
A grin made its way on his lips as the other boy chuckled about the strange people in masks. It did sound a little weird and the townspeople might just be exaggerating with their descriptions of the new people, however, Sora being the curious boy he is, wanted to check them out.
“Well, if we’re not doing anything else. Besides, it won’t hurt to try and just look, right?” He answered, his grin still on his face as he spoke.
New people come in and go in this town and Sora knew that the residents of the place are used to it by now. However, if they were reacting to the recent ones that came, then there must something different about them.
