Hatshepsut, one of the greatest Pharaoh in Egyptian history. On taking the throne, Hatshepsut won all of the wars she'd inherited from her predecessor, Thutmose II, and set Egypt on a course of prosperous peace for the remaining twenty-two years of her reign. During this time she built vast trade networks and undertook massive building projects that raised Egyptian architecture to the level for which it is now famous, at a scale and level of technical ability that wouldn't be seen again in the world for the next thousand years. According to one of the fathers of modern archaeology, James Henry Breasted, Hatshepsut was "the first great woman in history of whom we are informed."
