I don't think it's biblical for women to get involved with politics. Aren't you supposed to be getting pregnant and washing your husband's underwear?
Please ask your priest if the Books of Judith and Esther are right for you
Jael, Deborah and Barak
Artist: Salomon de Bray (Dutch, 1597-1664)
Date: c. 1630
Medium: Oil on panel
Collection: Museo de Arte de Ponce, Ponce, Puerto Rico
Description
Jael appears in the biblical Book of Judges. Deborah (with hands clasped in prayer) prophesied that the enemy would be defeated thanks to a woman, rather than by general Barak (in the background, looking diffident in spite of his helmet and armor). When the enemy’s commander Sisera was resting, Jael killed him instantly by driving a tent peg through his temple – the artist captures her grimace of fierce resolution, hammer still in hand. Jael was an ambiguous heroine, as she was often presented as a warning to men: with her exotic garments and low neckline, her attractiveness makes her dangerous.
Wolf and Cress parallels
Both were taken away from their parents and homes because of physical/biological factors they couldn’t control
Both grew up in environments with other kids that were taken by the Lunar government
Both were selected for special assignments based on their skills
Both had thaumaturges as people who were in charge or as bosses(Jael, Sybil)
Both betrayed their country(though the reasoning for that is different)
Both, after they meet Cinder, find one of their only living parent just for them to die shortly after they meet
Both of them get separated from their lovers, reunite, only for them to get separated again.(Scarlet gets kidnapped in Cress, Wolf and her reunite after they escape, Wolf gets taken in the factory. Cress gets stuck in the ship when Levana finds them. Cress and Thorne reunite just for Thorne to get taken.)
If there are anymore parallels I missed let me know 👍
Right in the middle of the story of Deborah we meet Jael, another woman used by the Lord.
Jael was a woman who displayed fearless courage and fulfilled the prophecy that Sisera would be delivered into the hands of a woman. Jael was that woman.
Sisera fled from the battle right to Jael's tent. It seems from Scripture that Jael's own husband had taken the side of the evil Sisera and Jabin, but Jael would stand alone for truth. Sisera asked for refuge in her tent, and she allowed him in. When he asked for a glass of water, she gave him some milk to drink and let him settle into a deep sleep. While the evil man slept, she took a tent peg and hammer and drove the peg through his temple. It is such a shocking story, and yet we must realize that this woman used what she had and defeated the evil enemy. The Lord had promised deliverance by a woman. Jael was that woman because she used what she knew and what she had right where she was.
Jael would be praised in Deborah's song as "blessed among women." In Deborah's song, we learn a bit more about Sisera. Sisera was an evil man who was expected by even his own mother to be out raping and disgracing women as the spoil of his victory. How ironic that it would be at the hand of a woman that he would be defeated. Even though Sisera objectified and mistreated women, it was a woman who would bring victory for the land of Israel and final defeat for Sisera.
Jael did what she could with what she had, and her life reminds us to do the same. It is easy to feel that we do not have all that we need to serve the Lord. It sometimes feels like there must be others who are more worthy and suitable to do what He has called us to do. And yet God will use us right where we are with the gifts and talents He has given us, because it is where He has placed us and called us to be. He only asks that we be surrendered to Him, and He is pleased when we serve Him right where we are.
Jael’s story can be found in Judges 4+5

Sisera: *talking in his sleep* You fool! No man can kill me!
Jael: *kneeling by his head with a tent peg and hammer* I am no man.
