Lifter Alert: You Are Being Tracked
I just read some articles on some new technology some stores are using to track people in their store and across entire malls. I could get into technicalities, but the baseline of it is that stores are using your phone’s wifi pings to get information about your searches, personal info, and most alarmingly, an address specific to your phone. This system is not only able to accurately track where you are in the store live, but is also able to tell if you’ve visted the store before, how often, how long ago, and which areas you’ve visited most often.
This system of tracking is not only an exposure of privacy for shoppers, but also dangerous for lifters. The solution most people reccommend in response is to completely disable wifi, though I would personally take it safe and just turn on airplane mode while I lift. The idea of being so precisely tracked is scary, and luckily only a few stores, mostly high end like Marks and Spencers, but also casual places like Topshop have this tracking system so far.
Be aware and stay safe everyone!
Signal boost 🚨🚨🚨
Omg definitely turning on airplane mode in every shop I go
Fucking hell thats scary shit😬
here’s another SUPER HELPFUL TIP- go on youtube and type in “theft (or shopłïftįńg) at (store you are going to) in (county or city you live in).” using this i found TWO videos with actual security footage of people łïftįńg at my local ulta. now you can see and take note of what made the said łïftèrś suspicious. also occasionally, you can get a feel of the protocol that is used for people who are caught . for instance in the video i saw, the greeter at the door DID NOT stop them though they had clear camera evidence of the women concealing. third of all, if the video you see is real security footage (usually its posted in hopes of finding someone who recognizes the thieves) you will be able to see through the cameras, and now you’ll know where the blind spots are and where you won’t be seen if you conceal. this is another tip that nobody talks about but it helps SO much. by looking through another pair of eyes you can notice body language and figure out what made them so suspicious.
Uncute Tip#8 (What will get you caught up)
So I decided to post this here in the main shoplifting tag as I felt it didn’t give anything away but some useful ass tips, and yall mofos should follow my private blog for more tips like this cause I ain’t posting any more here lol.
Also it’s all messed up in the tag, just saw that. Sorry. It’s all organized and cute on my blog thingy.
So I named this an uncute tag simply because it’s not cute. I’ve been doing just fine without these special extra tools or tricks and haven’t been caught yet. Some things aren’t for everyone. I’ll list what will get you caught/addicted.
Magnet’s/Hooks: These nifty little tools are great for people who sell shoplifted goods for a living however these can get you in a LOAD of shit.
For example:
I personally would never consider purchasing a magnet/hook, as this can lead to addictive behavior. Remember that shoplifting and all of this is a CRIME. It is not a job or hobby. IT’S NOTHING WRONG WITH HAVING THEM, I JUST WOULDN’T GET THEM, THATS ALL.
Being caught and having these on you will change your petty crime charges into something wayyyyy more serious. You can go from a fine to actual real real jail time.
You get stuck to metal objects. Now a good friend of mine on here told me about how she would get stuck to displays when she had her magnets on her. Suspicious or nah?
They’re very loud, if you’re in a quiet store the only thing employee’s will hear is the sound of you detaching tags. no good.
BEING LOUD AND ABOUT: Have you just known someone who was loud about everything? Will in the world of being a criminal, being loud and just plain out there can ruin your life. Literally. You want to be so quiet and out of view that they forgot you ever came in the store.
Ways to ruin your stealth:
Dropping Items. Like this is actually really bad, don’t do this, keep steady hands.
Talking to EVERY employee. It’s okay to talk to one at the MOST. But don’t talk to every employee because they’ll just be on your back trying to continue a conversation with you.
Being and look awkward. This means being clumsy, and fidgeting, it’s really hard to conceal while fidgeting, i’ll tell you one thing.
Having a HUGE bag. Nothing more suspicious. Like you’ll knock things down and look awkward and causing you to speak to employee’s and you’ll be breaking all the rules listed here, lol.
Having BAD partners: It’s one thing to shoplift, but to shoplift with a bad partner is asking to be thrown in the slammer.
Effects of having a bad partner and how it Affects you:
They get caught, you get caught. Rather they snitch or you to are close together.
They’re obvious. From the moment they walk in they’re suspicious.
They’re loud and about. Always in the view, can’t shut up and act so proud.
They’re clueless. ”Are you going to steal that?!” Bad partner asks while lp is already prepared to tackle you.
They act like children. Following behind you, always asking what to do, chickening out.
Will sell you out. They will cry, beg and plead to lp that you kidnapped them and made them shoplift.
Shoplifting EVERY DAY: This is a complete no no. I shouldn’t have to explain why.
What it will do to you and your well being:
It will become addictive. It will, no doubt about it. You’ll want to shoplift everyday, want to shoplift bigger things and get sloppy while at it.
You’ll become an even bigger cheap-stake. You’ll cry over paying for that 1$ bottle of soda because you could have stuffed it in your butthole, oooo nooo.
You’ll become recognized. The cameras will see you more often, entering the store and not buying a single thing if not shoplifting their store. They’ll start to wonder why certain items you picked up went missing and you’ll be the suspect. Next time you come in, BAM, RIGHT IN SLAMMER.
You’ll get lazy.I mentioned this but you will. You’ll want every thing to just come without a price and slip and then BAM, RIGHT IN THE SLAMMER.
You’ll get caught. You will, you didn’t listen to this beautiful post, and did all the things I said not to do and now look at you. In da slammer ye go.
Okay, guys that all I could think of for right now, I think I did good, as a lazy girl with bad grammar. I’d like to think I was very real in this post.
This needs more attention. These are some really good things to consider.
Repost cuz too many notes

Shoplifting Tips from a Loss Prevention Officer
Worst Techniques
Wearing out articles of clothing.
Opening packages and putting the item in your bag/pockets/whatever. Seriously, don’t take things out of packages. If there are security tags on the packaging, take them off, but for the love of god stop taking things out of packages and leaving behind the empty boxes. It’s really obvious.
Carrying whatever it is you’re going to steal around the store for ages looking for a nice empty aisle to conceal it in. Walking around with a bunch of video games in the bath towels makes what you’re about to do fairly obvious.
If you were in my store, and you draped your jacket over the stuff in your cart, I’d definitely watch you. People do that kind of stuff to hide what their hands are doing (opening packages, tearing off security sensors, etc).
Best Techniques
Make you you actually look like you’re shopping. If you aren’t looking at the prices of items and you’re just grabbing whatever it is you want off the shelf, it looks like a red flag.
Concealing the stuff that you want to steal while you’re in line waiting to pay for something else. If we’re following you, and you get in line to pay for all of your stuff, we’re probably going to stop watching you at that point.
Don’t take things out of packages! it takes too much time, it makes noise, you leave the the empty package behind and if we see you set down an empty package, even if we didn’t see you stuff the item in your bag/pockets, we’ll probably apprehend you.
If you’re going to conceal the merchandise on your person somehow, don’t leave the store right away after you do this. Chill out, browse, use the bathroom (a lot of retail stores have policies like this– once you go into the bathroom, it’s over, we’ve technically lost sight of you). If we lose you for a while, it’s very dangerous to make the apprehension– stores face a huge liability if loss prevention apprehends someone and they decided not to steal the item and left it in the store somewhere.
Steal during busy hours of the day, when there are lots of people shopping.
Also, if you’re youngish (under 22 or so) and with a group of similarly aged friends, don’t even try. The second a group of teenagers walks in, we’re probably watching them.
If you’re going to hide the merchandise on your person somehow, DO IT WHILE YOU’RE WALKING. Don’t stop, look around, and then stuff it. I cannot stress this one enough. It is much harder to see what you’re doing if you’re walking around from aisle to aisle, especially if loss prevention is following you around on foot instead of with CCTV.
I’d recommend not concealing merchandise in the bathrooms, but definitely using them after concealing merchandise, because it’s a break in surveillance. I’d recommend concealing a couple things that you don’t really want in addition to what you DO want (on the sales floor, not in the bathrooms), and then leaving the items you don’t want in the bathrooms, because they will check the stalls. Confusion is key!
